Just curious as to how the crowds are during spring break (the week of Easter). Also what the weather is like during that time. Do they typically have any discounts (AP, or otherwise) during that week? Thanks for any info anyone can provide :)

We went over spring break last year. Here's what I learned....

Stay with Disney, even if you cant get a discount (which you probably wont). We stayed at a downtown disney (nondisney) resort. The service and transportation were a huge pain in the neck. Disney knows how to take care of you even when they dont have too. We found everyone else totally uninterested in keeping us happy, because they were all over booked (hotel, planes....) and didnt need our business.

Book your tickets through the airline that will actually be flying you. We bought tickets through United, but were actually on USair planes. It was a huge pain to consider being bumped or getting on standby for an earlier flight and such. Even checking in and bags was a hassle (aiirved with our United tix at the united counter, stood in line only to be sent over to USAir.....)

I went in 2002 (March 24 I think was our first day in the parks). The first day we were there, we went to the Magic Kingdom (and to me) it felt empty. Our longest wait was 15 (Space Mountain and Splash Mountain had the same wait). Any day after that, it wasn't what I considered really busy. I hadn't gone for about two or 3 years before (they didn't have the fast pass then, and you would have to wait three hours for the big rides). So I assumed the less congestion was because of the fast passes. The Magic Kingdom was the busiest, hands down. The only time we had a problem there though, was in Fantasyland. We could barely walk. Some rides did have long waits (Kali River Rapids and Test Track). The longest wait we had was on Rock 'n Roller Coaster, which was about an hour and 45 minutes. But that was because the ride broke down. I mean, maybe to the people who have been there a lot, they felt it was busy, but I've only gone during the summer (prior to FastPasses). So I can only compair to them. But I thought that any wait we had was fine. I particularly like the waits, it helps the anticipation grow. :D

LoL One other thing, it'll be an Even year, so there's a chance the cheerleaders (I went with two years ago) are going. As for the other cheerleaders (the ones who compete), they left the 24th or 25th. And We only saw them once, at the MK on our first day.

The weather is great. The crowds are heavy. ( Not many discounts to be had though.) Weather wise it is the perfect time of year--- however I would sacrifice weather for low crowds and good discounts.
