I understand that the SoG expansion might mean a logistical nightmare in their transportation system. However, for those of you that stayed there before the renovation, how reliable was their transportation to the parks?

Thanks so much.

We stayed there many times and never had a problem. They do have a bus "schedule" however, so just be sure to note the times. One would guess that they will have more busses to compensate for additional guests . Anyway, it should be interesting to see how it all works out. We'll be there in April if they actually open!::MinnieMo

Oh thanks much capegirl.

I would be interested in hearing about the new SoG and its transportation (if you use it ) when you come back. The last time I stayed there it was called the Golf Resort. :teeth:

Hello! One thing probably won't change: you can still walk a very short distance (less than 5 minutes) to the Polynesian, which has extensive transportation options. You have the monorail, plus easy access to the Transportation/Ticket Center. I understand many guests did this, and when I stayed at the Disney Inn in 1993 - before the Dept of Defense bought it and changed the name - we did this a lot.

Good luck!

I totally agree! As long as you keep in mind the bus schedule, you will have no problems. It was always punctual when we visited.

WE've stayed at SOG in the pass and never had a problem with there transportation. We'll be there hopefully MArch 4th if they open on time. LEt's keep are fingers cross for good new that they will open March 1st.

This is what I was hoping for...if I find that their own transportation schedule isn't fitting my own, I would love to be able to walk to one of the WDW resorts.

Thank you everyone! You all have been very helpful. :hyper:
