How is Rainforest Cafe these days?

We ate there in 1998 when the one at AK had just opened. I think we ate there again in 2001 b/c we had liked it so much.

I am considering it this time too and at the DTD location. My kids have never been there (will 8 & 5) and honestly I have a bunch of MyPoints to redeem and thought this would be a good and fun way to do so.

So how is it lately?

My daughter loves this place...and she's 25 years old. The location in DTD at WDW is a t-Rex variation of the rain forest theme. DTD in California has the Rain Forest version as well as the location near AK park.

The food is your standard Applebees, TGIF type food. You said your kids were 5 and 8, if you don't think the animatronic dinosaurs would scare them then I think it could be fun...just expect it to be noisy.

Frankly, I consider the food to be below our local Chili's but opinions vary. There is the entertainment factor for your kids but it does not compensate for the quality of the food IMO.
