How is President's Week?

Here is my predicament, we are going on a cruise out of LA from 2/22/09-3/1/09. I would prefer to go to DLR before the cruise, but that is President's Week. Now, there is a crowd predictor for WDW (and I was advised not to go there during that week), but I can't find something similar for DLR.

Did anyone go this year? How were the waits? Do you think it affected your airfare or ability to get lodging? (we will be finding the cheapest non-roach-infested off-site hotel possible and don't mind walking a ways:).

I need to make a decision soon so I can get trip insurance going. Thanks!

ETA: I am thinking of going 2/18-2/21 or 3/1-3/4ish.

I went President's day week this past year, it was SO busy in the park!

I went over the weekend. The parks were very crowded. However, I found wait times weren't that bad at all. The longest ride line was Dumbo - about 45 min. We went on HM and PotC twice each with no more than a 20 min wait. Got on Nemo 1st thing on MM then walked on SM right after. I think we waited in line at PFF for about 1.5 hours, but the girls loved it, and we got in line mid-morning.

With planning and FPs it is possible to get a lot done. I didn't like the crowds so much just because there were so many people trying to occupy the same space :lmao:

I'd pick your March dates in a heartbeat. The parks will be MUCH less crowded.

Switch. Presidents Day hits Disneyland for two weekends because some districts in the area take the Monday closest to Lincoln's birthday off and other districts take Presidents Day itself off. This past February I was in the parks between the two. The Friday evening and Saturday before Presidents Day were very busy and crowded.

Late Friday evening there was an insanely long wait for Fantasyland rides late at night. Even in the busiest times of year in summer and Christmas I've never seen that. Saturday was even worse featuring 25-30 minute waits for POTC, 45 minute waits for Star Tours, and well, you get the picture. If you can switch you should have lower crowds.
