How is parking at Epcot?

Probably a really dumb question, but all of our past trips we've used the bus system. This time around we want to spend at least 2 days and want to try lots of different meals in WS in Epcot. Is the parking easily accessible at Epcot? I'd like to stay at POFQ. Is it worth spending the extra money and stay at YC/BC and not renting a car given our plans?

Parking for World Showcase is not convenient because the Epcot lot is on the Futureworld side. If you plan a lot of in/out in World Showcase for dining, I would definitely stay at one of the Epcot resorts if you can afford it.

You will find parking at Epcot quite easy. No need to stay at an Epcot Resort.

As I recall, POFQ has pretty good bus service to the parks, and it's not all that far from EPCOT. Why don't you want use the bus? Sounds like you have used it before.

Will you be on the DDP? If not, you could consider staying at the Swan or Dolphin. It's a whole lot cheaper than the Yacht Club and it's right next door. It shares boat service to Epcot & HS with the Epcot resorts. You can possibly get a Swan or Dolphin room as cheaply as POFQ. But since they aren't "Disney" resorts, you can't get DDP or ME.

If you are planning a lot of meals at World Showcase then staying in the Epcot area is a good idea. We stay at BCV and nothing beats a 5 minute walk to the International Gateway. That's the one bad thing about Epcot. In order to get to WS, you either have to hike through Future World from the buses or monorail or you have to stay in an Epcot resort to get immediate entrance to WS.

I'm going to second this.

I always drive when visiting Disney, and ultimately prefer the drive to the bus system. EPCOT parking is incredibly easy. I often don't even both waiting for and taking the parking lot tram to the front of the park since it's not that far a walk and is often faster.

That being said, If your reason for asking is because you are planning on doing a lot of quick jaunts into EPCOT for a meal, and that's it... then the EPCOT Parking location isn't going to be the most convenient for you. While it wouldn't take long to get from your car into the park (biggest delay would be bag check), You would still need to hike all the way thru Future World to get to the World Showcase, and then around the World Showcase Lagoon to where you plan on eating. That is a lot of walking and can easily take 10-15min MINIMUM once oyu are in the park to get to your country. The International Gateway would be MUCH more convenient

So depending upon your plans.... I'd say a reservation at a EPCOT area resort (the SWAN/DOLPHIN would obviously be the cheapest option..... often even 1/2 the price of the Disney resorts in the area)... Or if you are coming from another park to eat, Why not just take the bus from that park to an EPCOT area resort so you can cut thru to the International Gateway, instead of taking the bus from park ot park?

This is a good idea. Or you could park at TTC and then take the monorail to Epcot.

We are planning on doing DDP, but depending on the cost difference between Swan/Dolphin and Disney resort, I'd consider it.

And we're doing a handful of dining at other resorts as well as a beach weekend in Daytona as well which is why we are renting a car.

Thanks everyone for all the help/input!
