how is OKW looking?

We have a six night stay coming up in a 1BR at OKW. How is the resort looking (esp. the reno'd rooms, cleanliness, etc)? Our stay last December was great--loved the reort, size of rooms, full size washer dryer, but did not like the cleanliness of room. I've been assured by customer service that theywill follow our reservation and make sure the room is clean this time. Just wondering how the resort is overall.

Your experience may have been an isolated incident. OKW is our home resort; we haven't experienced any issues with cleanliness. Now that you've put disney on notice of your concerns, I'm sure you'll be pleased. I would mention it again at check-in...you will probably get a tad more attention to detail, that way

We were in a renovated 1BR in July and everything looked great. I really like the new decor and upgrades and we had no problem with cleanliness. This was our first OKW stay and we will definitely be back.

We were in a 1BR at OKW last week for 6 nights. Non-renovated near the HH. I thought the room was fantastic, no issues with it not being clean. In fact our trash/towel day was listed as Wed but on Tues we had fresh towels when returning from the parks and a knock on the door again that afternoon from mousekeeping checking in to make sure we had towels and everything we needed. We had a great experience at OKW

We stayed in a renovated 1 BR in July and loved it. Wood flooring, new furniture and flat screen tvs were great. The only issues were the shades on the patio doors had this cheap plastic chain to raise and lower them (it took way too long to accomplish the task) and the ipod clock radio in the bedroom was missing the plug-in electrical cord. This prevented the time from lighting up on the display. Housekeeping replaced the clock with a regular clock radio after the second call. . Never encountered any problems with cleanliness!

THanks for the update. OKW is our home but we haven't stayed there in a few years. Looking forward to seeing the renovations. Although i love it there, i secretly thought it needed just a little face lift in certain areas to be able to compete with the newer DVC resorts. You can't beat how quiet and family friendly OKW is.

Stayed there in July in HH area in a studio and hated it. The room smelled musty from the beginning the second night we came home from the park and I went to put my toddler into bed and there were bugs on my sheets! I went to Front desk and they moved us to a renovated room at Turtle Pond and it was much better. Just make sure you get a new room.

Our last stay was very clean, a little normal wear and tear, but otherwise clean.

We stayed in July and fell in love with OKW. Our room was clean, and beautiful and was not a renovated room.
