How is O'hana for breakfast?

We are planning on eating at O'hana for breakfast in October but I have not read that much about it, can anyone tell me how it is?

It's a character breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip & Dale dressed up island-style. The food is your basics- scrambled eggs, Mickey waffles, potatos, sausage and bacon all served family-style in a large bowl placed on a lazy-susan in the middle of the table. It is all-you-can-eat: the server will bring you more of whatever you want. The characters will lead the kids in a line dance around the restaurant at various times. We have breakfast there every time we go on Sunday as a tradition more than anything else now. After Ohanas we take the monorail to MK for at least the rest of the morning. It is a bit expensive, of course, but Ohanas breakfast is real "Disney". If we ever go again I know we will have breakfast there.

We had breakfast at Ohana last October and enjoyed the food. Everything was hot and tasty, and my DD enjoyed the character interaction. Hope you like it, too!

It's not bad. The little ones really liked the characters and the activities there. The food is brought to your table as well rather than buffet style, so that's a plus as far as I'm concerned. I think it's one of the better character breakfasts.

Good luck!

It's okay. While it is definitely more relaxing and convenient to have their family style breakfast, you don't get the variety you do at a buffet. I thought the food itself was a little underwhelming but perfectly servicable. The kids' activities are great and when we did a 7:30am seating we practically had the place and the characters to ourselves.

I might do it again if we were staying at the Poly but both of the other character breakfasts I've been to (CRT and Crystal Palace) I enjoyed more.

Pretty good! The character interaction is good and unique. I remember pancakes, eggs and sausages. It is no a buffet and I am partial to buffets so I probably pick Chef Mickeys over it. But it has a great view of the MK and the castle. You should definitley go just so you can base your own opinion! :wizard:

Kids activities... well I guess it wasn't really an "activity" but the characters led the kids in a little musical parade around the restaurant.

One side note, not a huge deal but annoying... when we checked in it was for my dd's 7th birthday, she was wearing her birthday pin. "Oh!" said the hostess. "We're going to do something very special for you!:"

But nothing ever happened, although the characters all pointed at her pin and appluaded and whatnot and the server said Happy Birthday. I think dd was so into the characters she forgot she'd been promised anything.

Glad to hear good reviews, this will be our last meal before we hit the road to come home. I wanted it to be something fun for the twins to remember.

my gf and myself thought the food was great....characters were a riot also...have fun
