hi all
i was due to go to wdw june 28th-13th july but now have to change our dates(because my eldest has got a compulsory school trip to spain at the same time)the only dates i can get now is 11th october-25th october or 17th october-31 october which includes half term, what can we expect of the weather and crowds and also are there any american holidays at this time
thanks eve:D

Eve - we went last October and enjoyed it so much we're returning exactly the same time in less than four weeks time:Pinkbounc We're going 15 October to 1st November, 6 nights Orlando the rest of the time down on Marco Island.

We found the crowds low compared to what we had been used to in May/June when we usually went.

In fact we went to MNSSHP in MK one night and every ride was a walk on - unheard of, but fantastic :).

Must admit this is one of the other reasons October is a great time to go - Halloween, it's so much fun over there.

The weather was 28 - 33 degrees most days (warmer down on Marco and the Keys).

The only US holiday is Columbus Day which is - this year - the weekend before we go and I understand this is a busy time in the parks, so avoid that weekend. It was the same last year and by the time we had arrived and out to our first park on the Thursday, most of the crowds had gone.

Highly recommend October - and I know a LOAD of other Brits go over there then:D

We're going for the 5th time in October and would recommend this time of the year.

The 1st year we went we 'hit' Magic Kingdom - complete novice - Columbus Day weekend - the park was so crowded that we had to leave - other than that weekend we've never found the parks too crowded.

We're going on 19th Oct this year, we normally go about 10th and the weather is great etc etc. We're there for Halloween for the 1st time and looking forward to going to MNSSHP.

I'm sure you'll enjoy Oct.

Helen

I'd recommend you go the second of the two sets of dates you posted - not only will you avoid the Columbus Day holiday, but you'll also be there during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival which is absolutely superb.

October is a great time to go in my opinion. The crowds are lighter than normal, but not so quiet that they start closing attractions and massively cutting park hours. Plus for someone like me who melts when it's more than 90 degrees (like it would be in August), it's hot enough without being too hot.

We are going on 15 October and it will be the 5th time we have been at this time. We love it because it is not too busy and the weather is still good.

We have been twice in october and would have gone this time but DB couldn't get that time from work so had to go in august - the weather is more bearable in october and halloween celebrations are fabulous - You must do IOA horror nite but only if your children are over about 13 i think it would be too scarey otherwise (i'm 33 and done it twice and it scared the life out of me!!) great if you love horror films and being scared!!!! Look at the Islands of adventure and go to the halloween horror nite page - looks fantastic!!!

Have a great time which ever time you go!!
