How is lunch at Raniforest Cafe in AK?

We are going the second week in June and I was thinking of trying this for a TS at lunch? Opinions on food? Atmosphere? Thanks

It's a fun atmosphere, no doubt about it, very unique. The food isn't bad, the menu reminds me of an Applebee's. If you have kids, though, they might not like the pizza's. Mine didn't, they were very blah.

I found, both times I was there, that the restaurant was freezing cold. It detracted from my enjoyment and I was happy to leave. I would say to take a jacket or sweater if you are able.

My wife and I were in WDW for two weeks in October for our honeymoon, and out of the 10+ TS restaurants we tried, the Rainforest Cafe at AK was the worst (beat out Raglan Road by half a step). The atmosphere was fun (ignoring for a moment the fact that you can get Rainforest Cafe in a number of major cities) but the wait was quite long, the service was poor (we waited for fifteen minutes after the guy took our plates away and we told him to bring the check... before he came back to ask us if we wanted our check), and the food was no more than fair. I seem to recall the food options being better during previous trips. We were extremely disappointed and won't be going back (wife didn't really want to go in the first place).

We always eat at RFC at DAK. We tend to head there before heading into the park so that we can set up a lunch ADR if possible. The food is very similiar to what you'll find at TGI Fridays, Chili's or Applebees. We've never had bad service and the food as always been good, nothing outstanding but good (like Fridays ). The atmosphere is great and the animatronics and fish keep the kids entertained.
