Do I need a PS?

What time do they stop serving lunch?

I am trying to do one meal at each monorail resort. Is it worth leaving MK to eat there?

Thanks

Michele

We love it for lunch.

I always make a PS. It can be crowded or not so busy but it does not necessarily correlate to how busy the parks are. Some times conventioneers arrive in waves. Even if I make a PS from guest services at the MK, I prefer to make a PS.

We love taking the launch from the MK to the GF for lunch...very worth it in our book.

The last I knew, lunch stops at 2:00. This past summer, we were checking in. As I did that, my husband and two of our kids walked back to see if we could have lunch there. I had not made a PS because our flight arrived at 12:30 and I didn't know if we would make it. They probaly arrived within a minute or two past two...no luck. Next time, I will make a PS anyway if we are on that same flight!

Lunch is very good at the GF Cafe. The menu is great and the portions are huge! This is the one thing I miss about staying at the Grand Floridian. We never think to go for lunch before the MK. I would also make a PS. Sometimes it's packed in the afternoon and sometimes it's empty. I'd make one just in case. Have a great trip!

Lunch is very nice there. I think they have the best spinach dip, yummy. If you do venture over from the MK, I would suggest taking the resort boat. The launch is located just to the left of the express resort monorail entrance. It's a pretty ride over and the GF is the first stop. From the boat dock, it's about a 3 or 4 minute walk through the garden path to the main building. I would also suggest asking for Izzy as your server. He is wonderful and a true Disney gem. After lunch, head upstairs to the 2nd floor and hop on the monorail to whisk you right back to the MK.

We have a great lunch there, probably one of the best meals of our last visit, and will return in the future on MK days - the GF is lovely anyways, so we like to stop in over there anyways, and I don't care for any of the dining options at the MK so this was a good choice =)

Thanks for the info.

I called about a PS today and decided I may just do CHH, because the latest lunch was 1:30 and I am trying to do snacks for lunch and late lunch ps's like around 3:30.

I may change my mind b/c my DH and I stayed there on our honeymoon back in 1989 and have not set foot in there since, should hold some nice memories for us.

Pretty sad b/c our last trip was POLY Concierge and we never stopped at either other monorail hotel b/c we couldn't wait to get back to the concierge lounge.

Thanks

Michele
