Last time we went, it was January, and the crowds were great. I'm curious how late April/Early May will be. We're trying to decide between then and early Feb. (Which I know will be cheaper, but might not fit in our schedule as well.)

We went from 4/24 to 5/3 this past year. We had a fabulous time. :) I had planned our trip to be for the first or second week in May but we were able to rent points for VWL and get a great deal on those for the last week in April so we made the change.

Crowds...if you go early, they are fine. By mid day it did start to be a madhouse in Fantasy Land but we were always done with that area before everyone else got there. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes for anything. I will put in the caveat that we used tourguidemike and followed his suggestions. Had we not done that, we would have had more wait time but nothing too horrible.

The weather was great. Not too hot. One rainy day but other than that, really nice. The flower and garden festival was really nice too. I'd go again at this time. Reading trip reports it sounded like if we had stuck with the first or second week in May there would have been fewer people but more rain.

We were there for our honeymoon in 99 last week of April to May 3rd no lines was beautiful weather we susally go in September got maried in March so we had to go early and it was just as good. lol:sunny:

Just a reminder, this coming year 2005, alot of metro ny schools have off that week for spring break. (last week of april) If its been a bad winter of snow here, you can bet we will all be down there in droves! I am already to make my plans etc. Its the only time to fit in with the kids schedules etc. Just keep that in mind when planning, as comparing that to other years, i.e. just regular crowds.
