We love to do a big breakfast on or departure Day. We usually do 10:00. We want to try to get a little extra sleep this time instead of dragging early 20's kids out of their beds. How is the very last seating for breakfast?? We have a 11:55 at Park Fare. Will they still put out fresh food or should we back that reservation up to 11:00, if possible??
We have not been to Park Fare since they reopened and are really looking forward to it!

They take reservations until 11:55am therefore yes there will be plenty of fresh food.
Just because they "close" at 12pm does not mean you get old cold food. It simply means they do not have more guests coming in since they do not serve lunch.

I can attest that was true in my experience.
I once had the very last reservation. I was supposed to be about 10 minutes before the end, but I figured they were running a little behind....until I heard one hostess say to the other "Well, I guess that's it" and started closing up. That's when I reminded them, there'd been a mix-up, and I was seated. Food was always fresh, but because people were leaving, it was a nice, quiet meal, and I never felt rushed.

Yes not once have I felt rushed to finish eating even though the restaurant was "closed" or the park was "closed".
Many guests seem to think that even though they have a reservation Disney will "kick them out" because its "closed".
In this case closed means no more new guests will be arriving.
Just like with attraction lines. If you get int he line a minute before official park close you're in the line until you ride the attraction unless the attraction goes down and its not a quick fix.

Disney is generally very good about keeping buffets stocked with hot food for the last seatings of the meal. If something looks older or is running low, they will also usually make you a plate.
