I have a friend who is going so thought I'd ask for her. I was thinking madhouse, but wasn't sure.

Thanks!

I would say busy, busy, and more busy!! July the 4th plus a weekend plus summer and school is OUT!!!

Or not due to heat, other 4th activities, and knowing school is out, and camping??

tell your friend to pack some patience, and don't get their hopes up to high on riding certain rides.

just get on what they can.

That's what I was guessing, especially with the three day weekend.

Thanks for the help!

What about the week following July 4th? (July 8 & 9)? Thank you!

I'd expect the park to fill to capacity on the 4th. Maybe someone can post the stages of closure to help out their fellow DISers. :)

It will be crazy and filled to capacity with people wearing matching Old Navy t-shirts!

Hey, did you see my family??? We've done that before, when my kids were young enough to think it was cool! Now that they're teenagers, it's a NO WAY, MOM!! I tell them to just wait until they have kids, it will be cool again!!:rotfl2:

We are going for the 3rd through the 6th... Luckily we are all AP holders so if we don't get to do everything its not the end of the world... Fast pass does also help a lot if you plan right... We have plans to camp our seats for fireworks around 6 or 7... I have a feeling with the economy and such that possibly it will be about as crowded as a regular summer weekend. A lot of AP holders will probably go for fireworks but if looking at people posting on this board is any inclination there may not be as many (still a high number) as usual 4ths... Almost no one on the July post said they were going on that weekend. :confused3 So who knows?

We went July 5-7 2005 and didn't think it was that bad. We got there at opening though, took an afternoon break when crowds got real crazy and then came back, rode a few things and camped out for the fireworks. We saw everything over those 3 days. That said, we didn't have children yet. I might have had a different opinion had we had children with us.

I'm here right now and the crowds are great. Some wait times are long but the parks seem fairly empty. We are planning to avoid the park mid day on friday just incase.

Don't forget that 4 July is blacked out for all but the most expensive AP, you will probably find the 5th blacked out as well. For this reason in 2006 when the 4th was midweek it was the quietest day of our stay, however with the 4th making a long weekend I would not expect the same. Do not leave the park after midday as you may not get back in....

It is blacked out, that's why we decided not to go. Not worth it for all 4 of us to get in....altho is we upgraded/renewed then it would be worth it. LOL

Sarah! Have fun, I don't think we will make it. :(
