How is the camping in January? Is it still enjoyable? We're looking a little further down the road at January 2010. It will be the beginning of the Spring semester so my husband can miss a little bit of school without a problem. We've also heard that the crowds lighten up in January which is a huge plus.

Jan. is a great time to visit ,as for the crowds. the weather can be iffy, hate to say this but when we go we try to pack for both cold and warmer weather,,:confused3 , just never know.
Enjoyable ?? ABSOLUTELY !
When you do get ready to go,,call the Disney Weather to get a idea of what to expect:thumbsup2 ,, we've learned not to trust the nation wide weather reports on TV.

We haven't camped in Jan but we were at the cabins Jan 07. We LOVED going at that time. The mornings are cool and the afternoons usually warm up. We go for the fun...not necessarily to get a sun tan and lay around the pool so going in Jan is ideal. No crowds either. My son, who was 3, swam in the pool. It is heated.

Packing a little more for unexpected weather won't be a problem for us. We'll be road trippin' it from Texas so we can pack my little Beetle full of stuff. Maybe we'll camp around here in January so we can get somewhat of an idea of what it might be like. I think it gets colder here. I'm just concerned about freezing while I sleep! We're not big water people and aren't planning on doing much of that regardless of what time of year we're going. Although I guess that splash mountain might be out of the question now!

Even though I live in Texas I handle cold better than hot. You don't see me outside much at all during the summer!

I've been there in January in our RV. We had weather all over the place. It was anywhere from 40 - 80 during the week. Most days were around the low 60s in the day and got a little chilly at night. But nothing close to freezing. I never had to put the heater on in the RV. When we were getting ready to leave, it warmed up into the 70s and hit 80. Even though it was a little chilly, my kids did go swimming a few times in the nice, warm pool. It was a great trip and we will be there for 22 nights this January. I will report on weather then. :) But definitely recommend it for the laid back-ness of it all in January.

We have gone in January a couple of times and really like it. You know when we get a cold front here in Texas it will last awhile. In Florida it seems like a day or 2 and its gone. Our winters are a little colder then theres. Oh you can still ride splash mountain in the winter it is actually the best time. No line just take a poncho. But pack for both seasons winter, summer and don't forget a space heater if you are sleeping in a tent.

Anybody want to sign up as my therapist? Good pay. ;) You have calmed my worries!

I was actually looking at space heaters online last night. I will make sure to ask about them when I go into work today (I work in a Texas based outdoors store). We would like to have the option to camp in colder weather anyways so it would be good to have the equipment to camp regardless of weather conditions. It's also nice to hear that the pool is heated! January 18 is my bday and January 19 of 2010 will be our 2 year wedding anniversary so what a special time to be at Disney!

I will be looking forward to the January trip report!

2010 oh thats to long to wait make it 09.
