Haven't traveled in that area recently, and the last time the lanes from Macon, GA on to the Florida line were all torn up with construction. How is it these days?

Lest you think I'm crazy to ask, I've a lifetime GA resident and it seems like that stretch of I-75 is ALWAYS under construction! :rotfl:

Thanks! :flower3:

Went through there in mid July. Not nearly as much construction as 1,2 or 3 years ago. The still are some zones present, but you will also enjoy many miles of extra lanes that did not exist in the past.

Thanks Bridget! We use local roads (~an hour) to catch I-75 in Macon and then take the turnpike at Wildwood. With Western Way opening, and 80% of the local roads now 4 lane roads, driving to WDW has gotten MUCH easier for us, with the exception of construction on I-75. Great to know! :goodvibes
