We will be staying at the DLH and I wondered how this is for dinner? Does it have nice ambience? Is it ok for kids?

My dd, then 5, and I had dinner there, food was very good (kinda spendy), and it was kid friendly.

The place is kid-friendly, even has kids' menus shaped like a pirate hat, very cute.

I just checked out the menu and was surprised to see it's changed since our (late September) visit. I had some sort of pesto pasta, but it wasn't what I expected; it had tomatoes and red sauce, and chunks of spicy sausage in it. I don't care for tomatoes on a good day, and I wasn't feeling quite up to snuff anyway, so the meal did not sit well. All I gotta say is thank goodness for popcorn during the fireworks! popcorn::

Bumping to get more opinions, I really want to try and eat here next trip!

Your bump didnt help much Andrea so I'll do it for you. :confused3 do I have to do everything for you?????? :rotfl2:

We did Hook's Pointe awhile back and loved it. We were with my mom and she wanted something different out of the park that we hadn't been to before. I thought the kids would be bored and act up but they really enjoyed it. I dont remember how much everything cost but I agree and think it was a little pricey but it's DL so we didnt think too much about it.

Thanks everyone, sounds like a good one to try since we will be at DLH and I like "easy" things! Everything is pricey to me in DL, so as long as it is good food and a nice experience I am ok with 2-3 "nicer" meals. :thumbsup2

If they still have it & you like appetizers, try the baked garlic w/brie & crackers (something like that). It was really good. I enjoy going there every once in awhile, & I love the theming there.

Thanks!! I think I'll try eating there on our April trip since my mom is paying for the food for that one!!!

I think I'll try it, too! That baked garlic & brie sounds delicious. :goodvibes

I have a picky eater DD7.....do they have good kids menus? Really just need mac & cheese and she'll be content.

Ok, I have to be the lone dissenting voice. DD (20yrs) and I had a late night dinner there on our last visit. She ordered a pasta dish that to her surprise came with red peppers which she can't stand. On the menu it listed the ingredients...sausage, cheese etc..but not peppers. We asked the waiter and while he had the kitchen pick them off her plate, he insisted the menu had said they were in there and she should try them because they were good for you. He was very good natured and we didn't mind..but of course we checked afterwards and RED PEPPERS were not listed as an ingredient and I felt it was in very poor form to make my DD feel as if SHE had goofed.

Just to add...I had the scallops and they were very good.
