Hi,

I need help. I'm starting to panic. My DH and I are going to Universal and IOA and have res. for HRH for three days in Sept. but it's way more than I can afford ($185 plus tx a night) I keep calling for the entertainment rate but I can't get it. I'll keep trying but I might have to stay somewhere else. MY DH and I love Hampton Inns for their continental breakfast so I was wondering how the Universal one was? Anyone stay there before? It's supposed to be right across the street from US. Do you take their shuttle? Any info would be appreciated. I'm drooling over the HRH but I'll take Hampton Inn if I can get a freebie breakfast and be right across the street.

My sister just stayed there & said it wasn't one of the nicest HI she's stayed at. Not really sure what she meant but said she wouldn't stay there again. I just stayed at the Embassy Suites JC & it was nice & close (had shuttles) offered a full cooked to order breakfast & nightly cocktail reception.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Just what I needed to know. I'll check out the Embassy Suites JC. Full cooked to order breakfast? My DH would be loving life. A nightly cocktail reception? Oh boy, that would just put him right over the edge. LOL Thanks for the info.

Be sure to ask about Embassy Suites' packages. I know they have a Sea World package that actually works out to about $99 a night once you subtract the tickets. They may have the same for Universal. The breakfasts are incredible. As CPM said, in addition to the breakfast buffet, you can have whatever you want cooked (I had a wonderful ham and cheese omelet every morning). Good luck!

and as posted, it was not the best Hampton I have ever stayed in. We had to be moved due to the air conditioner rattling so loud. They were not very quick to get us moved either. It is located on Kirkman Rd which is about 2 mins from Universal entrance. There is a Wingate Inn and a Wellesey Inn right next to it. Both of these are fairly new. We stayed in the Wingate 2 yrs ago and it had just opened. It was nice and we got a good AAA rate.
