How is Emerald Island area with the Hurricanes?

This is where we are renting a condo in October and was just wondering how the area is doing? I'm sure Frances is going to be worse than Charley, just hoping for the best!

I guess there is not too much info to be had here....
The lady we are renting from said she did not have any problems with Charlie, but have not heard about Frances. I'll just wait till after Ivan goes by and see what she says.

Hey maps,

Fellow EI in Feb 05 renter here. You might want to see if anyone is discussing it on the forums at orlandovillas.com. The boards are mostly full of UK owners and there was some discussion about damage the first hurricane. If you can't find anything on a public forum, perhaps owners do not want to worry future guests (even if repairs are doable before they arrive)? Just a thought.

Hello, EI and that area of 192 had minimal problems. All should be well when you go. Still some clean up around but the homes came through very with little or no damage.
