How is Disneyland on July 4th?

Hello All,

I was thinking of doing a long weekend at DL for the July 4th Holiday. I've only been to Disneyland twice, and never to DCA. I assume the crowds will be heavy that weekend, but I wonder if they will be so unbearable that I should consider another destination?

If anyone can share their experience with this, I would be most grateful.

We're going there that week. Arriving 7/2 and coming home 7/8! DS is so excited - it will be his second trip to DL.

We were there last year on the 4th and I was surprised that it didn't seem that crowded. The waits for the major rides got long mid-day, but with FP we were able to ride everything we wanted at least once. We rode the Matterhorn near closing with a 5 minute wait.

We go almost every year on the fourth of July. We are always surprised that it isn't as crowded as one would expect. We actually find more crowds during spring break. Don't get me wrong...there are plenty of people. However, it doesn't feel unbearable.
