How is Crystal Palace for dinner?

What do you think? I am looking for something in or near MK, and their selecstion looks really good. I have done LTT,too. Which is better?

We have done LTT and CP, we prefer Crystal Palace. The food is always fresh, and there is a better variety. We found the service a bit slow at LTT, as well.
Crystal Palace is always a "must" at least once a trip for us!

For us, the Crystal Palace was pretty, but the food, character interaction, and service were all less than I would expect at Disney. LTT on the other hand has been fabulous both times! We gave CP 2 tries thinking the first one was a fluke. We won't be trying it to see if the 3rd time is the charm.

we ate at CP once for dinner. The food is as described but we didnt like all the fancy options like couscous. We ended up eating a lot of the penne pasta. That was good. The desserts were ok, they looked better than they tasted. It was our least favorite meal of the trip. However, this trip we're going again since my sister wants to try it. She likes fancy foods. I'll be more adventurous and actually try all the different foods, like the salmon. The characters, not one, ever made it to our table, so when we were leaving we told the waitress this and she took us over to the other side of the restaurant and had all the characters come over by the middle, by the topiaries and take a pic w/ us.
That was the best part.

Hopefully it'll be better this time. It's sooo pretty in there and the characters are fun. We never went to LTT, their food doesnt appeal to us.

CP has EXCELLENT food. Even with a 5 yr old there, the characters took a long time getting to the table. When we had to left, we still hadn't seen them all. The waitress stopped them but Eeyore's handler wasn't happy about it. For that matter, Eeyore didn't really even want to stop. It was really busy, though, and they were having problems with people swarming them. We'll definitely be back.

My parents said that LTT was really good. They're stopping character dining at LTT in Jan '09, so it may be your last chance to get charcter dining there, if it makes a difference to you.

Crystal Palace (buffet) is good we been there many times. Trying LTT in Aug. Also been to Tony's and Tony's good to sit down din.

Food wise, I would choose Crystal Palace.
Character Interaction wise and over all experience, I would choose Liberty Tree Tavern.

That being said, as of Jan 09 LTT will no longer be character dining.

I agree with PP. Whichever is the priority for you.

I like both places. CP has good food but character interaction is not great. But LTT character interaction is so much better. We enjoy the food there because it is the typical Thanksgiving fare.

We looove the breakfast- awesome food and some of the best character interaction in Disney imo. We are trying dinner this fall.

I like them both, but Crystal Palace's food, overall, is better and of course, you will have more variety because it's a buffet.

I like the food better at CP, but teh character interaction last March was deplorable.

The meal felt VERY rushed! The characters were hiding more than they were intracting with the room. It is not at all what it used to be here!

STill, it's on of the better dining options in MK. Tony's was lousy.

It's been quite a while since we did LTT. It was just after the character meal started. the characters were great, but the food was blah.

I'm really hoping they improve the menu there wiht upcoming changes! Maybe we'll go back.

Otherwise your best TS options for MK are the MK resorts. They all have very good options: WL, GF, Poly, CR.
