How is Columbus Day weekend?

How are the crowds, weather, etc on Columbus Day weekend? For anyone going this year, can you please report back on this as well? Next year our DD will be in school, and we may try to take a quick weekend trip Thurs night to Monday afternoon of Columbus day weekend. Can you compare crowds to summer and or Thanksgiving time (the other two times of the year we've been). Thanks!

We were there during that time last year. It was more crowded than other times we have gone in October, but not nearly as bad as I have heard the crowds are in mid summer and Thanksgiving. A castmember working at the Wilderness Lodge told us holiday weekends are always much more crowded.
