How is CanJet?

Hi,

We will fly with Canjet in the next few weeks and I wanted to get some reports on the quality of the flights, good/bad experiences, etc... My expectations are not very high...

We fly out of Quebec City (YQB) to MCO in late April.

We flew Canjet in October. The flight was average and uneventful. Staff is friendly. But beware - the planes are SMALL! I'm 5'6" and my knees hit the seat in front of me. And our plane only had one small TV every 4 rows or so for the movie. I guess it's what you'd expect from a cheap flight. We would fly them again for the right price - which would have to be much cheaper than Air Canada or Westjet.

I've only flown with them once and will never fly with them again! We had a horrible experience a year and a half ago. The people at the check-in counter were testy, the flight was delayed, and they were militant about carry-ons. So much so that it wasn't enough to make you place your carry-on in the tester at the check-in counter (at 3:30 am), they had someone roaming around the gate area randomly getting people to do the same thing. I've never been on a flight where so many people needed to check their carry-on luggage. Perhaps it's a money-maker for the airline?

Also, we didn't get ANY snacks on the flight, but they were happy to provide us with champagne at 9:00 am. NEVER AGAIN!

Of note, we got snacks on our flight and a drink. We flew Oct 2012.

Also, we flew carryon only and they never even weighed our bags - at Toronto or MCO. I was worried because our return bags were a little heavier. They didn't even ask to put them on the scale.

We fly Canjet and its a "discount" airline. Our flight was on time, staff was ok, Flight was smooth but I'm 6'5" and pre booked the bulk head seats with DW. The seat at the bulkhead was ok for 6' tops. Really thats my only beef the seats/rows are SMALL.

I've flown Canjet a few times now, out of Halifax, and as recently as just a few weeks ago.

They are a no frills airline, small seat pitch, decent service.

Other than a short 1 hour delay one year on our return flight from Orlando, I've never had an issue with them.
