My mom and I are going to Boma for dinner on New Year's Eve.
Has anyone been there??? Do you like it? I was having trouble finding some where to eat for New Year's Eve.

Here is the link to our meal on Oct 18th, tons of pics and lots of comments ;)

have been to boma three or four times. it is the best buffet i have ever been to.

We loved it! And it doesn't compare to any WDW buffet. The decor, food & atmosphere are unique. We went with my DM & my DD who was 8 at the time. All 4 of us loved it, there was plenty to choose from, and it was one of our best meals at WDW.

A huge plus is that you get to walk around the AKL resort lobby and soak in some of the atmosphere. It is amazing, and photos do not do it justice. Also, you can go out of the lobby to Arusha rock and take a look at all the animals out on the savannah.

The night we went we were tired, and had just checked into the GF. We considered skipping the dinner because we didn't want to deal with the long drive. Well, we were sure glad that we did!

Boma is a great place for dinner -- I'm sure you'll have a good time there!:)

We usually don't care for buffets but we really enjoyed Boma. So many interesting flavors! The soups are wonderful. We will definitely go back again.

I loved the Boma buffet. I tried a little bit of everything so that I could at least taste it. I was a very picky eater when I was younger and am trying to expand my tastes. I liked just about everything that I tried at Boma. That is saying a lot for someone who has been a picky eater.

We loved Boma! The sweet and white mashed potatos are to DIE for!
They use a lot of cinnamon and nutmeg in their dishes so if you are not a fan you want to be careful what you choose.
My daughter thought they made to best mac and cheese...
I also loved their wine selection!

we really like the restaurant - good, interesting food but also some "regular" food for those in your group that may not be too adventuresome.... plus the bonus of a great hotel to wander around in after dinner!
have a great time!

My family of 5 tried last trip and no one enjoyed eating there and I am the only picky eater everyone else will eat anything.

We did not like it, we were a party of 10, 6 adults, 4 kids. None of the adults are picky at all and none of us were impressed. My dad has actually been to Africa on a safari and really enjoyed the food there, but he didn't like Boma at all. It seemed like everything was either very bland or very spicy, no in between. Many other people rave about it though, so maybe it was just us. :confused3
