How is Boatwrights at PORS?

I am looking for a low key place for my party of 10 to eat. We are staying at POFQ and thought a walk to Boatwrights might be a good choice. Please tell me how the food there is?

It's OK for dinner. Nothing special, but not bad, either. It is definitly low key, and it a very pleasant stroll from POFQ, so it may be just what you are looking for!

great breakfast and i agree--dinner was okay. since you all are staying then i would give it a try. but making a special trip not sure i would do that especially w/out a car. happy dining!

My husband and I stayed at POR for our honeymoon. We ate at Boatrights the night we arrived for our first dinner as husband and wife. They were so great, they brought us out a cake to celebrate! The food has been good the two times I ate there, I always felt you got a good amount for your money!

Boatwrights is one of the best places for breakfast. Yummy!!! Other places that are good: BOMA @ AKL & Whispering Canon Cafe @ WL!!

Hi,

We had dinner there last August (no PS) and enjoyed it very much. After dinner we did some shopping there while waiting for Bob Jackson at the River Roost Lounge. He is very good for kids of all ages, 4 - 85. We did not stay for the whole show, but left at intermission and took the boat to DTD which was a very nice way to end a most enjoyable and relaxing evening. Bussed back to our resort. Have fun!!!

We have been enjoying Boatwrights for dinner for years! Although I think it used to be even better - it is still very good. It is particularly good if you branch out a bit and try some of the Cajun food. My DH loves their jambalya (sp?) and I have enjoyed a number of things there. However we do miss some of the "old days" stuff like a bourbon marinated sirloin and orange-horseradish marmalade sauce with cheese sticks!
