How is B2B FCC handled?

I’m considering picking up 3 days on the Dream prior to my more expensive DisneyRun 4 day sailing on January 11. If my cruise was canceled:
Would I receive 125% FCC for the three day cruise and not the four day cruise?
Would I receive 125% credit for the entire seven days?

I’m afraid the FCC on a three day would not get me enough money for a future cruise with so many rescheduling and the price keeps dropping for the 3 day cruise. Plus I had a 10% discount for OBB on the 4 day and I keep bumping up our state room.
We plan to book a flight that would allow 8 days in Florida. Allowing us to take the three day B2B prior to the four day. We could wait to make the decision 15 days prior to the lift/shift date. Perhaps we will get a deep discount and get 7 days on the Dream OR spend a day at NASA and Sea World with my parents and their new scooters prior to the 4 day.

My primary concern for this post is; will I get FCC on my four day if I book a 3 day? You only get first one right?

Not sure what you mean? If you PIF a 3 day and you PIF a 4 day and they run B2B those are two cruises with two different reservation numbers. So if Jan gets cancelled you would have two FFC's (one FFC for each reservation). To get the FFC just make sure you're PIF on both of them prior to the cancellation. I think a lot of people are going to PIF their cruises well before PIF date so they have the opportunity for the 125% FFC in the event of cancellation.

On another note we did the reverse. We took our Oct 2020 cancellation FFC and turned it into a B2B with 8 nights on the Fantasy in Nov 2021 Merry Time Christmas cruise (5 night CC double dip and 3 night right after that). Originally we booked the 5 night and then we noticed the 3 night was right after it and cheap because it was only 3 nights and we booked both because it's pretty rare to see a 3 night Fantasy cruise. Obviously the FFC didn't cover all of it but the extra 25% DCL gave us sure did help.

I thought you could only get one credit for each person. Maybe it’s only 125% if you rebooked and the Next cruise is canceled.
I thought each person could only get 125% one time.

You get one FCC per person, for each cruise canceled by DCL, as I understand it.

If your current cruise was booked using FCC from a previous canceled cruise, you get the FCC from that cruise (the original FCC you got for the previously canceled cruise), plus a 100% refund of any difference (if any). But you'd get 125% FCC on the new cruise you want to book, if it gets canceled.

I've never heard of a limit thus far. If you have 4 cruises booked in Jan and they cancel all Jan cruises, then you would get 4 FFC's as long as they were all PIF.

If one (or more) of those cruises was re-booked using an FCC from this spring or summer, you would not get a new FCC for the January cancellation - just the original FCC with any extra you may have paid being refunded.

That's what I said :teeth:

Is this how it has been working? In the email I got from Disney regarding my canceled cruise, it sure sounds like they are limiting it to one FCC per person, total (not per cruise):

The Future Cruise Credit is equal to 125% of your original voyage fare plus the cost of the Vacation Protection Plan, if applicable. The FCC is only valid for sailings commencing prior to May 31, 2022. Your original reservation must be paid in full to be eligible for the FCC. The FCC is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value. Standard prevailing rates apply and Guests are responsible for any balance due after the FCC has been applied. If you end up not being able to use the FCC, you will be eligible for a refund up to the amount of your original voyage fare plus the cost of the Vacation Protection Plan, if applicable. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply to future sailings. Guests who previously received a FCC are not eligible for an additional FCC.

I take that to mean if you opted for FCC on your original canceled cruise, you cannot then get a new FCC (of 125%) on your currently canceled cruise that you used your 125% to book.

Meaning, if your original cruise cost $2000 and you opted to take the 125% FCC and booked a cruise that now costs $2500. Now that cruise gets canceled. You can't get 125% on $2500. You can only get the original $2000 plus the 25% ($500) to carry forward to another cruise.

If you had 2 cruises booked that have subsequently been canceled, then each of those cruise cancellations could get the 125% FCC or 100% refund.

We had a B2B scheduled for September 2020. Each person in our party got FCC for each cruise. Each cruise is a unique event. So we got 125% from both cruises. We rescheduled to Fall 2021. We could apply FCC from both cancelled cruises to that single cruise.

Excellent information, I knew someone here would have already experienced this on here. I’m so sorry you were canceled but glad you received 125% for the loss of both vacations. I’m a little less nervous about booking a second cruise now.

It is always a sad time to miss a vacation, but we are blessed enough to have that be one of our only worries these days. Happy cruising, when it restarts!
