How is Alien Saucer Ride ?

I get motion sick pretty easy spinning in circles (Tea Cups).
It looks like AS whips you around instead of just going in circles.

Is it really a kiddie ride ?

Thanks.

It's a whip as others said. DS2 really enjoyed it and felt they got whipped well. DS1 and I rode and I'd say we got a moderate whip maybe two or three times but otherwise I felt it was very very tame. [Kinda disappointed in the motion. Hoping when I go back and ride at night the atmosphere will improve the experience.]

You could say it is like teacups in the floor patterns except that teacups is so tight it is just spinning whereas aliens is three large sections so you get that little whip moving from one to the next.

PS. I have vertigo. I ride teacups because DS1 wants to but we don't spin it. I focus on one spot. This didn't bother me at all.

It honestly is near the bottom of all WDW rides for me. Cute theming, but that's about it. Bumpy during the whip. it seems funny to complain about how short it is since I didn't enjoy it, but it is ridiculously short.

I agree with ESO, I enjoyed the ride more than I expected. I thought it would be a silly ride but it brought back memories of the old ride called the Whip that I used to go on when I was a kid

The person who enjoyed it most in my family was my 2-year old, if that tells you anything - even my 5-year old only wanted to ride once or twice. I thought it was more jerky and bumpy than spinny.

Ha! We are kind of similar....

3 - loved it, still talks about it, begged to go again
8 - eh, “I hit by head on the side, too bumpy, take me to SDD”

:-)

I can’t handle spinning at all. Rode AS2 without any problem. Also with minimal fun. We didn’t appreciate much whipping at all. No spinning (thankfully). It was a 1 and done for us unless there is less than 15 min wait. It was cute to see and the music was good but the ride was pretty boring (no young children in our party)

I really liked it. It is cute. It is like an old fashioned whip ride we had at our local amusement park. Slinky Dog Dash made me feel sick. I don’t like roller coasters but decided to try it anyway. I did better on FOP! Lol.

It is the same ride as Mater in California Adventure with different theming. I don't care for being whipped around while going in circles. I did Slinky Dog, Saucers, and Toy Story Mania back to back to back and had to sit a while to settle back into a balance. Spinning on TSM and Slinky Dog were probably more responsible for this more than Saucers.

I did not really enjoy it but I’d do it again with very little wait or a FP (or for my kids because what don’t I do for them?). I like the Teacups more than this.

The line builds up quickly because it accommodates a much lower capacity of riders, from what I understand. And that outdoor queue is not fun if you’re stuck out in the summer sun.
