Has anyone been there recently. We were there about 6 years ago and it was not so great but I read the menu and it looks pretty good with some changes I noticed. How has it been lately. I am gonna give it another try. Hopefully we will fair better the second time around. I cancelled Markareesh to go there. We have a toddler and Alfredos menu looked like the better choice.

Haven't been to WDW since 4/04, but we loved it both in 04 and 9 months earlier. It's noisy and crowded...but my DD's (then 15, 13 and 5) love it because of the pasta dishes and the ambience. We also tend to get a ressie there just before Illuminations and the girls love finishing dinner and then running out to watch the show.

We also have had some wonderful CM/waiters there.

I don't have a ressie there yet for dinner - but I'm sure we'll get there at some point during our trip for my pasta loving DD's.

You will hear VERY mixed reviews, as the Italian is different than "Olive Garden" type Italian. I actually really like Olive Garden as well, but I LOVE the Fettucini Alfredo at Alfredos...the noodles are so tender and the sauce so deliciously cheesy. The Caesar salad is excellent too! It is the ONLY restaurant I haven't missed since my first time eating there in 2001! I have it booked for the CP package and can't wait! It is by no means a quiet restaurant, but is quite raucous and lively...and the tables can be very close together. Still, it is at the very top of my "not to miss" restaurants. Go and enjoy!

I can do without it. Honestly, I did not find it all together different from Olive Garden. The resturant is busy and loud, and I couldnt help but feel rushed by our server. Of course, when we went we had ADR's and there was a line of people about 20+ at the door, waiting for a seat, so I suppose we were rushed a bit...

Anyway, the food was fair, nothing fancy. Not really authentic Italian, but not bad. However, I must say, the pasta is made fresh at the resturant (you can watch them make it while you wait for a seat) and it is absolutely fantastic. The Alfredo sauce is not half bad either. I'd certainly say to give it a shot, just know what to expect. And by all means, try the alfredo.

I ate there with my then 10 y/o dd back in '03. It was wonderful, we loved it. Then, at there with dd and dh in '04..it was awful, I vowed to never go back. Last Dec I ate there with a friend...it was terrific. Just booked it for our CP dinner in Dec!!! The lasagna was to die for...at least the night we ate there!!

We just went this past June and LOVED it. I have to tell you that we all went in with SUPER LOW expectations after reading some negative reviews here on the Dis but it turned out to be one of our favorite meals. All of us enjoyed all courses. I LOVED the ceasar salad, home baked bread and lasagna. The chocolate mousse desert was great too. I also liked the atmosphere and being served by someone from that country, it was an authentic experience and we'll be back!
