ANYWAY!!! I don't think it's because your name, Davn is like Yavn, because doesn't vmk check the names before you can use them? Otherwise someone could have a rude name and which would be against vmk rules.

How can you get banned fro trying to get an inappropriate name. That makes no sence. I know many disers here would go to VMK central and create a character and since they had not decided a name; titled it toiletflush, etc you get the picture knowing it would not be approved so we could decide a name later.

And if they accepted that name then you should not have been banned. This is so weird.

I hope it is not the real reason of your ban, because that story scares me otherwise ..

Recently, I created a new character because I was bored of my old character. I gave it a title that was approved by VMK, I never thought it would be, so now I like that character and I am playing with it more than my other.
But the first thing to do from VMK, before baning someone for a title that was approved, should be to ask the person to change of title because it is VMK's fault if they accepted the name.

Unless it was a REALLY bad name. But I think he would remember if he did that. Davn, you did seem to calm down quite a bit since finding out what the reason was, are you sure you dont remember? Does anyone else play VMK in your house? Could they have created another character?

Also, I assure you, you cant get banned for your losing your power. That will not be the reason.

Oh I get it, before signing up for VMK, you have to rtead and know the names of all staff members so you dont make a name that could be possibly construed as being close to a staff members name. I was on the loading screen of VMK and left it there.. then I went to go eat, the power went off. Then it came back on. I went to log onto VMK again and it says i've been ban for ten years I didn't even get to go to a room in VMK today and im banned for ten years VMK.. what in the world did I do? Tell me electicity componay! Well atleast I think it was because my power went off when I was on VMK. But I seriously don't know I didn't see the reason VMK thats kind of a mean bug

A good friend of mine got banned for 10 years for attempting to make an inappropriate vmk title. It will just ban your IP but your character should be able to log into a computer that isn't banned.

Time to get technical.

When the power goes out, any network router will also be effected by the surge (duh). The sudden surge of power made the router think that the IP address was to blame for the surge and assigned you a new one. (Dumbed it down a little bit because I could say everything technical but it wouldn't help anyone...)

See my little penguin pal holding up a sign in my sig? Check him for your IP address. Switch computers for now, but check it often. If your IP ever changes, use that to your advantage and try logging back on.

Absolutley, unequivocally, incorrect information. Your router does NOT assign you an IP address, not even close. If you are going to "dumb down" information, I suggest you dumb it down correctly.

And "switching computers" in the same house or business, wont make a shred of difference if you have the same internet connection.
