How important is early entry at Epic

Leaving this month for a Disney Christmas trip but starting the trip with a day at EPIC. I do have a room booked at epic for the night before our epic day but I also have our DVC room for the same night as well. Debating on cancelling epic room but wondering if it’s worth one night there for early entry and then heading to our Disney room to settle in for the holidays? Thanks 😊

I think early entry is nice but unreliable at Epic. My preview day in May was TERRIBLE for early entry. We just went on Monday 12/8 - Mario Kart and Stardust racers were both down for early entry, and Ministry didn't open until after 10:20am sometime. Mine Cart opened probably around 9:45am. That said, we rode Yoshi before that line shot up (since everyone pivoted from Mario Kart), then went to Darkmoor and were able to do Curse of the Werewolf 2x and Monsters Unchained with no wait, so abandoning Nintendo World worked nicely. We were walking back into Nintendo World at 9:55am with 4 rides under our belts.

You can also do A LOT between 6/7pm-10pm. Sounds like you might not have the room for the possibility of the mid day break? If you're choosing between early entry and the ability to stay to 10pm, stay late! After 9pm, every ride in the park except the carousel was a 15min wait or less. 10min waits for headliners are just wonderous.

They were announcing both yesterday and today that thy were going to close the line for BotM sometime after 8 to get everyone off by 10. Not sure if they did though , plus it’s been down since noon today

They had signs up on Monday that BotM was closing early. I don't know when it closed, the line at a little after 8pm was posted 25min but was 10min in reality.

Can you explain more why? 😊
The ability to easily walk into the park with early entry, go back to your room within 5 minutes should it be raining or you need a rest really made the difference for us. Granted, we spent 3 nights there back in June with theme park view rooms and we loved the ease of staying directly on property.

But if they are just spending the preceding night, they won't be able to use the room the next day for a break. So it would literally just be for early entry and possibly walking to the park.
