How hot was it? I'll tell you.

The last two weeks of July were so hot...we actually sat through the Country Bears, just to get out of the heat. :teeth:

We were dragging our hot, weary butts through Frontierland and I said to The Wife: "You know, I've always been curious about the Country Bears. Never seen it. Want to check it out?"

"Sure," she said. "I'm so hot, I'll do it. But I bet it's going to be really really dumb." I told her she was being much too harsh. Let's see it and decide for ourselves.

We went in, sat down, watched it.

I spent the rest of the afternoon apologizing.

"But," I kept saying, "at least we were cool, right?" :earboy2:

Anyone else think this show is really REALLY lame?

I don't care how corny everyone thinks it is - I love the Jamboree.

i don't think of it as lame, i think it is more nostalgic.....and a great place to cool off :teeth:

Yep, it's lame. Doesn't evoke nostalgia in me, I must have missed the good ol' days where we coexisted with bears ;)

Respectfully disagree...I love Country Bear Jamboree and was heartbroken when they took it out of Disneyland. It is not one of the headliner thrill ride type attractions, but it is a slower paced whimsical departure where the charming little details grow on you the more you see it.

Hope you get back to WDW soon, and decide to give it another chance.

i compare it to the small world. ITs one of the older rides thats corny but you just have to go and see it kinda like the Tiki Birds.

Dang.....I can't believe someone doesn't like the Country Bears!!! I actually bought the Music CD that has all the park songs on it and memorized the words to the Country Bear Jamboree!! Okay I'm lame I know :teeth: Would love to sing it to you, but it's the internet so that might not work out to well :rotfl2:

Whew I love that show!!!

Well It is a bit cheesey but u don't notice it till it's gone! I live in California and haven't been 2 that show since I was a kid. I told my daughter about it (8yo girl) and when we went last year to WDW she loved it, and the nostalgia hit me. I guess I enjoyed it more cause when I was her age I remember how much I liked it. They now have a Winnie the Pooh ride in it's place but they do pay tribute to the ride by having the mounted heads hidden on the ride. Which I'm sure some of the people posting would enjoy! HA!

It is a great place to go cool off. While it isn't my personal favorite my daughter loved it as a child and now her children love it so it's a must do on our trips.

we are leaving in 9 days and im sure we will stop by to see the lady bear on the swing sing. WE actually have to movie Country Bears and its pretty good. i like the music they sing on it. :goodvibes . I honestly thing the worse may be the Tiki Birds.

i still coexist with bears....my next door neighbors are a lovely couple that happen to be grizzles :cool1: ...and no i don't live in the woods. i live in a high rise in downtown Dallas.

Love the Bears!!! Although this past May when we saw it, DD4 was really relaxed and started to Doze off. Ohwell I enjoyed it. Dh was disappointed because the only souvenir he wanted was a BIG AL shirt but they nolonger sell any country bears merchandise. So sad, he still has one from a long time ago, just won't part with it. When we went in May he told me he would trash when he got his new one, no such luck since they don't sell them anymore. Oh well he only wears it around the house, but wow is it in bad shape...

I love the show. It's a classic. We went both times we took our boys and now just DH and I we'll go again in Nov. It's corny, and cute. Just plain fun. Of course, we love Tiki Room too and I've seen lots of posts from those that didn't.

I agree! We love that show and always see it!
The Christmas show is really great too!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LAME!!!!! It's so lame that my DD5 kept saying "How much longer until this is over?"

we also have the Country Bears dvd :cool1: and it's a must do on our trips-classic disney :earsgirl:

Sorry, felt it was a part of my life I could never get back. Mind you, I did watch this at Disneyland Paris, so the point may have been lost on me in French :rotfl2:

kind of lame, but it brings back memories when I went on it as a kid. It's more of a lame classic. If that makes sense.
