We have decided to return in June (instead of March as previously planned) so we can spend more time and don't have to rush to get the kids back in school.
But I am wondering how hot it is gonna be?
Now mind you I am from Texas...so pretty used to hot weather!
And what about crowds? I read on touring plans it is expected to be an 8 out of 10 crowd wise.
Thanks for your help!

It will be hot and crowded. Maybe not as humid as July and August and September but it is HOT! I usually go around June 10th (my b-day) and it's usually pretty crowded. Not unbearable where you can't get anything done, but at least 20 min lines on even the boring stuff.

It is HOT! I like it hot but this June was insane. It was sooo hot I was getting dizzy and I really didn't even feel like walking around. And it was crowded! I'd definitely try to go at another time of year if possible. We still had a great time but were extremely HOT!

I'm a Texan as well. It is hot and muggy, EXACTLY like here at home.... you have a very good idea of what to expect- LOL! Hit the parks in the early AM & you'll be wondering what all the fuss over heat is about :goodvibes Midday heat with concrete is always miserable though.
I do not know about crowds. They may be worse than the heat factor.

I had sweat dripping down my back as walked from our resort to the car in the morning...

We went June 22-29th of 2008. It was hot, but no worse than home. It was humid, again no worse than a home. I think that if you live somewhere that has nice summer temperatures, then you might be bothered by the heat. It was hot there and it was hot at home.

Crowds: We went knowing that it was going to be crowded so we made plans to be be at the parks early, avoid EMH parks and use fast passes. We really did not have a problem with the crowds. proabably the worst crowds we experienced were during the parades.

Weather: It rained for while every day we were there. The good thing about that is that it sent people back to their resorts. It wasn't cold, there usually wasn't lightening so it only really bothered us on one day. Use rain times to your advantage and stay in the parks.

Wet Clothes: Plan on doing laundry. I wasn't planning on doing laundry but nothing would ever get dry in the room and we got wet a lot! I ended up doing laundry so that we wouldn't have so much damp stuff hanging around. Make sure you have extra shoes for the same reason.

Lines were not too long early in the morning. We had a wonderful magical trip and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Now, with all of that said, if I could plan any time in June I would probably go the 2nd week of June, about a week after school gets out here.

For a real summer treat though, you need to visit Disneyland. We wore JACKETS at night and in the morning at the end of June and early July. We thought that it was hilarious that people around us were complaining about the heat in the afternoons when it hit 87 degrees!:rotfl: We had a great time and the weather was unbelievable!

After going this past June, my family chose October for our next trip. As soon as we walked out the door in the morning our clothes were wet. We HAD to take midday breaks because of the heat. At times I was worried for my dh, he didn't deal with the heat very well. I could handle the heat okay, but if given a choice I would choose a cooler time as well.

As far as crowds go, I think it was a bit less crowded than spring break was, but not alot!

Luckily we had two weeks, so we got all of the attractions in. Even so, my kids were too hot to stand in character lines so we didn't get alot of autographs that they wanted(specifically Star Wars weekends). Also, I remind my kids that they made me miss Jack Sparrow's pirate tutorial because they were too hot to stand and watch...LOL...so next time I will see my Jack!!!!!!!!LOL

If you do go in June...2 things..breaks and water!!

we were in WDW this past june and it was unbearably HOT! we were MELTED, and we live in alabama, so we're used to scorching summer heat, but this was unreal. even my DH, who works in front of a 1400+ degree furnace at a recycling plant, swore we'd never go back again in june. the trip was great, but the heat was miserable. the humidity was 97% by 7:15am.
we're used to going in september, but now that DD is in middle school, june was our only option.

I think it depends year to year. People say this past June was unbearably hot. We went June 11-18 of 2008 and I didn't think it was that bad, and I'm from Chicago. If you are from Texas I think you'll be fine any year.

It was crowded. We followed TGM and didn't wait more than 20 minutes for any ride except Toy Story which had just opened.
