How hot is it in early May?

I've been to Disney in the summer several times and never want to do that again. The weather just makes it too much---- I'm a big wuss and I hate the heat. I've also been in October and loved it; while a few hot days, for the most part very bearable and nights and early mornings are just lovely.

So how does early may compare? How hot does it get?

It can get into the 90's. I went the first or second week of May from 2000 to 2005, we saw temps on some trips as high as 95. Other trips it was only in the 80's. It's not as humid as summer, so you don't get the afternoon thunderstorms.

We've been to WDW during the second week of May the last three years. There were a few days when it was a bit hotter and more humid in the middle of the day than I would have liked, but not too bad really. I don't tolerate humidity well at all but I wouldn't hesitate to go back during that same time again. On the warmer days, we just spent more of our time inside air conditioned attractions or at the pool. Overall, I think the weather is beautiful that time of year. On our last trip, the highs were in the mid to upper 80s most days with maybe one day getting into the low 90s.

It is hot, no doubt, though not as bad as summer. 88 is the average high, which means that low-90s are not out of the question...quite common. Not a lot of rain at that time of year either (which can be good and bad...nothing to cool everything down, but then again, you don't soaked).

All in all, it is a good time to go...certainly not the "best" in terms of crowds and weather, but not a problem.

We go in May a lot, Love the flower show, have seen high 90's and days when you need a sweat shirt or jacket. Would have to say yhe majority of the time it is very pleasant. Days are warm but not too hot nights tend to cool down but not get too chilly. So I guess the answer is you will probably have really nice weather but there is a slight chance of it going to either extreme. I've seen rain come through and the temp drop 15-20 degrees, Usually warms back up as soon as the sun comes out.
