How "heated" are the pools in the winter, particularly @ AKL, CSR, & ASMo?

So I was wondering, for those of you who've been to WDW in the winter months, just how warm are the pools at the resorts?

Are they "put your toe in and shriek" cold?

Or are they more like "hey, this isn't so bad and I could swim in this" cold?

I'm particularly interested in the pools at AKL, CSR, & ASMo.

Thanks.:)

We have been for the past 3 years Nov/Dec and have always swam. My DS's and Dh would swim all day. 15-30 minutes is usually enough for me and it starts to feel cold. I have to say we were in Feb during a cold snap this year and one night there were all types of kids and adults in the Poly's pool when there was no way I would have been swimming. I was wearing a sweatshirt for heavens sake and I am from MI. But during the day we usually swim every other day of our vacation.

The pools are heated year round, so its not the water temp that will get you, its the air temp.

82 degree water is the same - whether it be in summer or winter.

Oh, okay, I did not know this. So all pools are heated to the same temp, 82 degrees?

I was walking from the Mara (AKL CS place) back to our room, on a chilling evening. I passed the pool (the most beautiful at Disney IMO) and there was a man and his son swimming.

I shouted out, "Let me guess - you're from New England."

He shouted back, "Nope. Canada!"

I think the key is they are supposed to be heated to 82 degrees.

My family and I visited WDW last June, yes June, and Storm a Long Bay was COLD!!! And we are from Pittsbugh.

The kids swam of course, but DH and I wouldn't get in. BRRRRR! And neither would alot of other parents, who watched their kids from the sides.

We were just at CSR last week. The main pool was nice and warm but the quiet pool was cold. We had a room right by it and we didn't see anyone in it all week.

Yes- we were there mid February and I dipped my toes in the cabanas quiet pool and it was sooooo cold!! The main pool was nice though and of course the hot tub is great :)
