How have the daily lightning storms been lately?

How have the daily storms been this month so far? Have they been lasting a long time? What time of the day are they starting roughly?

I know you can't tell the weather more than an hour in advance in Orlando But I was just curious to hear from anyone who has been at the parks lately (or who lives in the area)

I know it's not lately but we were there 7/22 to 31 and it only stormed 2 days, both Fridays. The days between those, barely even a cloud in the sky so not even pop up storms in the area and we just missed them.

Only negative, without those evening storms it stayed quite hot even when it was dark. After 4 days without any relief from the heat it was pretty bad even at midnight
We are from the South and it was bearable, barely, to us since we are just as hot here, and haven' had any rain this summer.

We arrived on Sunday and it was actually fairly pleasant. We've had no big storms during the day even though it has been raining quite a bit on either side of Orlando. But it has become increasingly warmer. It is very hot today. We are leaving tomorrow, but it is almost as hot at home now!

The storms have not been bad around the Disney area this week actually. The West side of Florida & Orlando have been getting hit decently bad at time but not around here at Disney.

Yesterday the clouds rolled in and it looked like a Monsoon was coming yet no rain fell at all. The wind made it nice and the sun being behind clouds also made it nice as we were at the Studio yesterday afternoon.

That's a good point about the heat. Be careful what I wish for there.

Not too bad at all (we just got back yesterday from a week-long trip). A few brief rain showers, but nothing that impeded our plans. It was overcast quite a bit, but that really helped with the heat, so we are not complaining!

And that's why we always take sunscreen and ponchos on every trip. For Memorial Day weekend, I had one week to do everything and we were low on all supplies due to a house fire. I had to check the weather forecast every day for Disney World and it changed every single day. So, two of the first things I replaced were sunscreen and ponchos. Go prepared for all chances.
