How have the crowds been this week?

We will be going this week next year and was wondering how crowded it felt this week.
We went in June for Star Wars Weekend and it was around 90 each day so the weather will probably be the same.

Just got back from the Studios. Crowds weren't that bad really. Only saw one tour group and they were really well behaved. Of course fast passes for TSM are gone and the wait is 80 minutes but that's to be expected in the afternoon.

It's hot lol. 93 last time I checked. Thunder storm at the moment. Again pretty typical for this time of year

We're here now. It has been hot this week, temp has been 91-93 with heat index of 102. There have been a couple of days where it started raining around 6 pm and didn't stop until 8 or so. We had to buy ponchos in T-Rex one night.

Crowds are big but manageable. I can't say we've felt overwhelmed by too many people everywhere. I looked at another site for info on which park to visit on which day and it's worked well so far. We were at MK at rope drop yesterday and we're able to do 6 rides in 1.5 hrs and only used 1 FP. We have seen at least 5 large tour groups.

Hope this info helps.

We just returned from our trip (7/8 - 7/18) and in spite of all the research I did to maximize our FP+ and pick the parks recommended by easyWDW and UT, I realized there are two forces that you just can't plan for. The first is weather and closures due to weather. Yes, you can expect a daily cloudburst on any given day in the summer, but on one of our days it rained cats and dogs for at least half the day. Expect the rollercoasters to close (except for those which are fully enclosed) if there is lightning in the area, even if there is little to no rain. This will make the park seem more crowded than it really is, because the crowds will be diverted to those rides which are still open. The second is temporary ride closures due to operational issues. The second day we went to MK, the 7DMT was closed down, and we were told the POC was down as well. This made our "most recommended" day at MK feel VERY crowded. Plan all you want, but realize that situations may happen which are beyond anyone's capability to predict. I'm so glad we planned multiple days at MK so that we were able to ride everything we wanted to, because if we would have only had one day with major rides down we would have been very disappointed. Ditto with our experience at Universal, where the new Gringotts ride has been plagued with frequent shutdowns.

Just returned from 10 day trip (7/11 - 7/21). This was our 3rd summertime trip and we felt the crowds were larger this year. Definitely still manageable with planning and good use of FP. We did have park hoppers and found our day worked best with EasyWDW recommended park for rope drop...get as much done before lunch, return to resort to nap or pool, then back to whichever park we wanted for the evening. It was hot, hot, hot....and humid, especially with the afternoon storms that rolled in. Saw multiple tour groups, but didn't have any issues with them except one day at AK. If you see a group heading toward the FP line, try to beat them in line or you will find you FP wait time to be longer than you anticipated. Also, if you are wanting to ride SDMT more than the Fps you may have obtained, get in line near park closing. We found the wait time posted to be much longer than the actual wait ended up being. Plus the ride is more fun in the dark...and in a car closer to the back of the train. Just go knowing you will have heat...and rain...and crowds...and enjoy your time. These obstacles may make you see/appreciate something you may have rushed past on other days. We had rain one day at MK...a steady, all day type rain...and we ducked into a store on Main St to get out of the rain and happened upon a glass blowing demonstration that was really interesting. Without the rain, this is something we never would have come across in our rush to ride as many rides as possible.
