How hardlined are they?

I did the VMK tour in September when the policy was once/30 days. Now the policy is once/90 days. I'm going the last week of Nov/first week of Dec for the Christmas stuff. Are they going to disallow me from going on the VMK tour?

It depends. I think WDW is a little more lenient than DL. That being said, it would only matter if you have an AP. If you are using a different ticket from what you used for park admission in Sept., then it shouldn't matter at all.

Have a great time.

If you are using the same ticket, then yes, they are hardlined. I have an annual pass, I did the quest last on 9/5/05 when it was still 30 days. I can't do them again until 12/5/05 since the rule is 90 days now.

For the tour itself, I think they are not so strict.

The only info that they keep track of is what prizes you have won. With currentl policy you can only win/redeem things every 90 days. If you already have tour cards you should be able to take tours as often as you want. That being said I find it it very annoying that all this 'policy' changes . It seems that depenging on what CM you get at VMK Central the answers are never the same. When the change was made from 4 to 2 for the tours I got different answers 3 times about how many tours you could get for the Hidden Mickey award. Someone said only 2 another time I was told you would get 2 tour cards for 4 people then it was 2 again...

Went to Disneylnad on Halloween and took 2 friends and had them complete the quests and they got the prizes and when they looked at the tour cards the CM had already written 1 in for the party size. I was told that this was because tours were being abused. Funny thing is that my son went the day before and got 2 tour cards that were left blank???

BTW this was for the Disnayland Resort. Sorry about the long answer, short answer is that they do no keep track of who goes on tours.

Actually, they do keep track of who goes on the tours. They take your name and write it in a book when you sign up for the tour and later it finds its way into a computer program. Or at least that is how it looked to me. (So, if I am going just short of 90 days, I might fudge my last name a little, so it would not exactly match up.) They had the prizes I had redeemed, quests and tours taken on the computer screen. (Not sure I was supposed to have seen that! ) And it linked both my Costco ticket (that had my name on it) and my Annual Pass. Oops, I didn't realize until I saw that screen that I was being tracked with both tickets.
So, anyway the answer is, so long as you have a different admission ticket from what you used before you are fine. So long as those tickets don't have your personal info attatched to them in any way. If you have an AP, you are probably out of luck when it comes to qualifying for taking the tour again either by doing the quests or by redeeming the Hidden Mickey tour prize.

If you have an AP, and if you already have a tour card, you can take the tour, no problem. If you are trying to redeem the hidden Mickey tour voucher, but you have already gotten the tour card from doing the quests less than 90 days ago, they will not let you redeem your Hidden Mickey quest prize.

It's late and I'm tired. This answer seems a bit convoluted. Sorry.

Thanks for the help, so I guess I'm out of luck. I have an AP, but am geographically challenged. Took the tour around 9/14 and will be at WDW 11/26-12/3, so the 90 days isn't up.

WDW may be a little more lenient. I'd say try it and plead your case for distance from the world. It's not as if you are trying to do this every two weeks. Then plead ignorance if they say no, since there has been no official word from VMK, just stuff you've heard over the internet, and we all know how reliable that can be! :)

But wait, if you did the quests before they changed the policy you should not be held to it. If it was 30 days when you last did the quests than they should not make a person wait 90 days.

I was there in October. It was 30 days then, if I go in December (I am hoping) then WILL be giving me a set lol!

Yeah, I tried to argue this but was told no dice. There's no grandfathering in for the 30 days.

Atleast when I can do it next, it should be with whatever they're replacing the Haunted Mansion quest with.
