How hard to get AKV Value?

I am planning on a trip in May/June of 2011. I would like to get a 2 bd value and a studio value for this trip at AKV. My trip would start the Sunday of Memorial day weekend and would be for 9 nights. I would be reserving it at the 7mo mark. Would this be difficult? Want to have a backup and don't want to have to by more than xx transfer points to cover the difference above my xx points that I will have. There is for now 12 of us planning on traveling. But there will definately 8 of us going for sure.

The number of points you are seeking to have transferred has been edited out so as not to be construed as a seeking of transfer points post.

If you book right at the 7 months, I would think you would have a good chance. You may, however, have to be flexible with the room type you are seeking if the value category is sold out by then.

Remember, you can bank and borrow points too to meet the needed requirement for your travels. Or, you may want to combine your stay with some days reserved on cash.

If it is as hard to get as a 2 BR SV for the end of Sept beginning of Oct seems to be I wiah you luck and would second the idea of having a back up plan. I have a waitlist for Dec 27-Jan1 that was put in place at 9:05 am at the 7 month mark also. The one for Sept/Oct was put in place at only 4 months out so I guess that is not comparing apples to apples but since Sept/Oct is supposed to be one of the slower times I had hoped for better luck. I could have had standard view but do not want to be at AKV and look at a parking lot. Don;t know what your home reosrt is but I would definitely have that back up in place. I have my home resorts reserved and will be very happy at them but my son really wanted to be at AKV (his favorite resort) for this first trip with his daughter. Good luck and

I just had a strange situation booking an AKV value studio (strange in a good way). I tried to book one at exactly 7 months, and when none was available, dummy me didn't even think to be put on the waiting list. So a couple weeks later (now 6 1/2 months), I called again to be put on the waiting list, but now one was available! So I guess if you call right at 7 months, there's a good chance of having your wait list come thru quickly.

I booked a 2bed value at the 7 month window and had no problem..the ressie is for sept...a different time than yours....but you could keep an eye on the resort availability board for your time and see if anyone reports that it's booked.

there are a few - very, very few value villas - they are all at Jambo house - I think there are 7 - 2 savannah, 2 pool and 1 parking lot.


would add standard view at Jambo house this would be swimming pool - at Kidani - parking lot or garden - few pool views.


now most guests want the savannh view so that is in your favor.
