How hard to get a CRYSTAL PALACE ADR?

Interesting. We have never had a problem getting an ADR for CP, although we have only done dinner. On MK days, we prefer to get there early and maximize the low crowd hours by doing all of the rides, and then take it easy and do a sit-down in the evening. CP and Boma are our favorite buffet dinners at WDW. Two of our "must do's."

I've never had trouble getting an ADR for CP. However, these have been for lunch and not breakfast.

We're booking for a party of 4. Myself, DH, DD (10) and DD (6). Guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed. Try for my 1st preference of days and times and then try for the 2nd day. CP is really the only ADR I'm worried about because I'm pretty flexible timewise (jsut need a certain date) for all my other meals. They are:

Ohana
1900 Park Fair (dinner before Wishes or a late lunch)
Chef Mickey's
Coral Reef (late lunch or early dinner)
Chefs de France (just DH and I for our Anniversary)
CP

Still need 2 more TS. Will have to pay for 2 adult TS OOP, maybe the Chefs de France for DH and I. Waiting for the park hours for August to make sure of times, then pick the other TS. Just can't seem to decide.

During free dining promotions, it is harder to get the times and places you want on the days you want. Be flexible.

I've been thinking of canceling since I could only get 8:20. We're going during a busy time and need to maximize time, etc. So my reason for booking was more to get there before crowds than CP, etc.

This gives me some hope. I just don't want to spend $120 and not get the perk I was going for. LOL.

Is photopass open this early? Would love to get a picture before crowds...

I just got an 8:25 ADR time 40 days out. Like others said, you may not get the first seating but I wouldn't think you would have trouble getting something like a 8:10 or 8:15.

I would just get to the park the same time you would if you had an 8:05 ADR. With an 8:20, they will let you into the park the same time as the 8:05's. Check in just as if you had the 8:05. I guarantee some of the 8:05 folks will be running a little late and they will seat you.

I agree. We have had several 8:05-8:40ish adr and had no problems getting into the park before opening. There is NOTHING as magical as walking up main street towards the castle with little to no people in your way. We've done the same with Tusker house and Epcot, but MK is the most magical.

Is there REALLY a difference between an 8:05 and an 8:15? They aren't going to make you wait to be seated until the 8:05's are done seating...... And they aren't going to make you wait to be seated until the last of the 8:05's show up...........

I didn't realize the Photopass photographers would be out and about that early in the am. For some reason, I thought they wouldn't be out until park opening. I really hope I get my ADR. :wizard:

I would think that if there's open tables, they'll go ahead and seat you. Kinda try to get a head start on the day, since things seem to slow down as the day goes along. Also, it's WDW and although most people will make their ADR's on time, you will still have a couple of last minute cancellations, right? People oversleep, even at WDW.
