how hard is it to switch ressies?

Can a reservation be switched to another DVC resort for the same nights if there's availability without a problem or hassle? We aren't going until the last week of April.

Absolutely. As long as you are within the 7 month booking window for a non-Home resort.

But the "availability" part of your question is the key. The Spring Break crowds should be all but gone by the last week of April, but you never really know what the occupancy levels at the resorts might be.

Call Member Services, and don't be afraid to go on the waitlist if they don't have all of your days available when you first call.
