How hard is it to make changes like this?

Say we had a cruise booked for our family of 4 in one room. And at a later time one more person decides to join us. At that time we book an additional room and want to move one of our party into the new room making 3 in the original room and 2 in the 2nd room. Is that easy to do and assuming both rooms were the same category would the person in our room moving to the new room have to pay whatever the current rate is for the 2nd stateroom at that time? Confusing? I hope not! Thanks!

Don't know about the prevailing rate but do know that the cost would go up for that person since they would be the second person in the room and pay full fare instead of the discounted rate for 3rd or 4th people in a room.

One possibility is that if you have a cat 6 or higher with a verandah, you might add a cat 11 across the hall (or nearby) so the cost per person isn't as high and you could all still enjoy the verandah in your room.

I think you need to check with your TA or DCL about the rates though.

The prevailing rate would apply.
