My DD has worked so hard in school and i was thinking of giving her some of my points. I'm sorry to say She really would rather not stay at WDW. She is in Grad school and she is waiting on vacation dates. Is it difficult to get a studio at vero beach -non-weekend points. Don't want to get her hopes up. Thanks Gina

Hi there - i dont have experience with this other than this year - i called earlier this week at the 7 months window to see about booking OVIR here in Sept and got exactually what i wanted no problem, i was SO releaved i had a feeling i wouldnt get it. I would call asap and fingers crossed you will get what you want:cheer2:

Prime summer season at Vero is June and July. By the second week of August or so it gets easier to get decent space at 7 months.

I called at 7 months and could only get a 1 Bedroom for two nites aug 20 and 21 I could not get the night of aug 19 or any rooms that whole week of the 17th of august.

Called at 7 months and got a 2 BR the weekend of July 4th. :cool1:

Results may vary......:rolleyes1 but I would be calling real soon because I would bet that my success isn't necessarily the norm.

Then again, I don't know what other types of rooms WERE available when I called either.

In 2005 I called at exactly 7 months and on a day by day basis was able to rerserve a 2BR for an eight day stay starting in mid August. When we checked in, we even got our request for top floor ocean view (the trick to getting that is to specifically book a lock off 2BR, they all have ocean views. Most of the dedicated ones don't).

Interestingly, while there we got the strong sense that most of the other guests there were not DVC members, but instead CRO bookings, most being a couple of days at Vero that had been appended to the front or back of a longer stay at WDW. That made for a lot of daily turnover (there was never a quiet time at the front desk, it was literally busy 24/7). It also meant the faces at the restaurants, pool and beach changed all the time!!!
