How hard is it to get FP+ for SDD?

Going in July, staying onsite. Any idea how difficult it will be to get fp for SDD? Ideally I would like to get it for 60+2. Time doesn't matter to us. How realistic is this?

When in July? +2 is tough. I’m trying for +2 this Friday (Early June trip). I’ll let you know if I’m successful. I’m also going +6 so I have backup.

Obviously the closer to the end of your trip the better your odds, but 60+2 is possible. Get on there super early and hope that you get lucky, and if not, keep trying. Doesn’t hurt to try. We truly got lucky on our last trip and got them for exactly 60 days for 7 people. Had to keep checking and switching things around but finally got it. We had overlapping FP times and all went on together on our arrival night. I was so proud of myself lol.

I am a solo and it was tough but I got two. Not to self if you see one, grab it asap because they wont last long.

I just looked and SDD is showing availibility at 60+2 on the DIBB site. That's not bad considering how popular that ride is.

Just making sure it wasn’t July 4th.
Since you need a single and aren’t picky about time, you may be ok.

I couldn't get it for my end of May trip, 60+3. First time being shut out. We have a few days tacked on before our cruise--also shut out of FOP. No big deal, I have had had good luck with both in the past getting same day fp.

When's the last time you went to WDW? Idk if something's changed in the last couple months, but they were checking that everyone in the party had FP+ before giving a rider swap

60+2 could happen. depends how busy the park is. Have had much better luck at 60+3 or later.

Shouldn't be any problem. There were still a few evening times 45 days out for my May trip, and plenty left at 60.

Slinky was gone for my trip at 60. So I made a FP+ for Aliens. I have DAS, so it won't be an issue for SDD, but I've seen others suggest to get in line at the end of the night. Or, endure the mad race for rope drop, or pay for EMM.

I got mine last week and all that was available for our HS day was 11. I just checked yesterday and there is no other time slot available at all for SDD.

I’m not the target demo for Alien (it was one and done for us) so we grab TSM. We ride Slinky mostly at night. We get in line in the last 10 minutes of the night. It takes about 30 minutes. The line moves well once FP stops. Plus a lot of people are watching F! or the SW fireworks.

If we can't get SDD, we get a FP for TSMM.
AS2 is cute and its a fun ride.
The trip we couldn't get a FP for SDD, we did it at RD and were near teh fron of he crowd. We were on and off SDD in 10 minutes total. We waited 1 round for AS2.
For us, TSMM is a lot more fun. YMMV.

I have seen this happen too so I would get two FP.
