I would say normally you stand a pretty decent chance except at the busier times. But Honestly based on your arrival date and time, I would say your chances are going to honestly be between slim and none. That is about THE BUSIEST week of the year and arriving that late at night isn't going to help any. I guess there's a small possibility but I'm thinking it's highly unlikely.

The last time I did not get my requested connecting rooms (not at the Pop, to be fair), we arrived at WDW later on during the day. The CM checking me in said they considered a 7pm arrival late. So I have to say I don't think you have a very good chance of getting connecting rooms at 10pm. Especially over Christmas. Sorry.

Have you given any thought to getting a suite or villa? Or are you determined to stay at the Pop?

It's not really fair for international travellers then- we land in Florida at about 5pm and only get out and to our accommodation at 6/7pm! Can't help that Virgin always put us on the later flight.

It's a large resort so that stands in your favor. Only you can decide how important it is for you to have them. I believe WDW uses an approach based on need meaning that preference goes first for those with smaller children and works it way up from there. If its a necessity to you I would consider a family suite at music or AoA if your party is 6 or ander or a cabin at FW.

You have to realize though for Christmas week, this year it falls on a Tuesday.

Most people do check-in on Saturday/Sunday, so the resort will be almost at capacity by Christmas day.

All the rooms are preassigned up to 10 days prior to check in. Make sure you make a note on the reservation for connecting rooms. Unless someone needs their room changed or switched for whatever reason or sometimes they will switch guests around if others arrive early and ask for a ready room but you still have a shot at connecting rooms! Good luck!! I put in for connecting/king bed rooms in Oct so we'll see if I get it!!

I was looking at the new animation resort. It looks really fun & exciting to see except that the doors to rooms appear to be inside buildings. Also its going to be about $350 more than 2 pop century rooms would be. We are taking my sister & nephew so the extra $ could help with everything else since we are paying. I know the little guy is gonna want to go back & forth from room to room. So being to far away would not work out very well.

need to ask when you book and if you wans adjoing or connecting (with door in between)

We stayed at Pop last Nov on an adults-only trip with my sister and BIL. We had linked our reservations, but didn't request connecting rooms, but we got them anyway, which was fine. My sister had also requested a king-bed room (I didn't bother) and they got it (it was a HA room, though). We arrived at about 9:00 at night. We did do online check-in. I think your chance is just as good as anyone else's, especially if it's on your reservation.

We get connecting rooms every time we go to a Value. EVERY time - for the last 12 years!

The ridiculousness is - we do NOT want connecting rooms!

Why do they do this??? :confused3

I think it's just based on the availability of which rooms were vacated that day. If they can give you connecting, they will. If not - then I am sure they would move you at the first possible opening. I know I would be willing to move to help a family out. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps. :goodvibes
