How hard is it to get a studio at OKW during value season?

We are thinking about buying into DVC. I know its buy where you want to stay, but we would really like the extra 12 years of SSR. We would like just about 60 points, enough for a studio during value season at any WDW DVC resort. We really like the look of OKW, plus lowest points per night! How difficult is it to be able to reserve a week at a studio at OKW during value season with only a 7 month window?

If you mean adventure season, you should have a pretty good chance of getting it. So far, we've never had a problem, whether during adventure, choice, or dream season, but I do call right at the 7-month mark.

It depends on the months if you are talking about September it is not an issue if you want December this can be an issue but at worst you will need to waitlist and this should (99%) come true.

You do realize that a studio at OKW has different bedding than the studios at other DVC resorts? The 2 bed configuration is great for some, but I think it is less than ideal for a couple. So while we like OKW, we will usually opt for a studio some where else. -- Suzanne

We like to stay in January or February when the weather here is bad. We have never had any trouble booking a studio at OKW at the 7 month window.

We are renting points at OKW in August. The owner booked the trip for us in mid-March. That is less than 5 months. Not to bad if you ask me. By reading all these posts, it sounds like you really need to plan ahead though. Maybe we just got lucky.

We stayed in a studio at OKW and BCV's in March. Our home is SSR but had friends at OKW and wanted to walk back and forth to EPCOT from BC. We just called the first day to the 7month window first thing in the am.

I just a couple of weeks ago booked a studio at OKW for July 31-Aug 4. I've never had a problem getting a studio there. Once we even added 2 nights while we were already there. 7 month window, as long as it isn't during a holiday, shouldn't be a problem for a studio.
OT...is that a dachsund in your signature? We have a red long haired small dachsund.

Yeah, thats our red haired mini. She came from 2 smooth haired parents, but her coat is a little longer than a smooth haired, but not quite a long haired.
