Hi everyone!

I VERY recently got engaged and have always wanted a Disney wedding. I ordered the free DVD and am making my wishlist and everything now... My question is...how hard is it to get the date/time/location you want? I would love to have it this December..2007. I don't want it at the wedding pavillion, so that might help, right? (That is the most popular place I think...)...
Thanks for any help!

You just need to call DFTW and see what is available. I'm sure there is a location that would be perfect for you. Congratulations!

Congratulations on your engagement!

If I remember correctly, December is a pretty popular time for weddings. I agree that you will probably have more flexibility if you don't want the Pavilion. Also, if you can be a little flexible in your time, you are more likely to get your date.

I wouldn't wait for the DVD if I were you...my understanding is it's the same information that is on the website. I would suggest you go ahead and call DFTW and get yourself on the list. You will have a little time before you have to make a deposit.

And we are all here to help you as you move forward with the planning...

Good luck and have fun!!

Hi

Congratulations.

We have been planning our wedding since last July when my fiance proposed. We phoned to speak to somebody, who told us that if we were having an intimate wedding in the WP we could only book 8 months to the day before the wedding, which is what we did. I was really nervous that we would not get the date we wanted but I set the alarm, as there is a 5 hour time difference between Florida and the UK and phoned them exactly as they opened, and managed to get the date and time that we had wanted. Then you have to wait for them to send you the letter of agreement for you to sign and send back within 2 weeks, you are then allocated you co-ordinator.

Then the dream begins!!

Congrats and Welcome!!! I think as long as your flexible with your date/times you should be ok. If you're open to a couple different sites then that will offer you even more flexibility! Good luck!

I'm able to phone back on April 11th for our 8 month out, but as we've put our clocks forward I'm a little confused what time to phone - I was going to phone at 1pm UK time, as Doreen says she starts at 8am US time, is this still correct? I'm really nervous too, as I know someone else wants the same as us, so we only have a 50/50 chance (unless someone else has requested the same since I phoned:scared: ) and I might have to go with our 2nd choice date.

Dee,I am confused enough about the leap year thing without even concidering BST !!! I really need to phone to confirm if we have to wait an extra day to book our May 2008 wedding. If we do, then thats bad news because we will be floating somewhere in the Med ( the day before at least we're in Gibraltar)

i would call & back now to try & get what you want & have enough time to plan, book rooms, send invites, get your dress, etc. plus christmas events take up some venues & the 2 weeks of christmas is very busy at the parks & resorts.

best of luck with everything, are you going to go with a christmas theme? i love ornaments as favors, so cute.

I bet they forget all about leap year, so I would phone on 'the day' if I was you.

First and foremost Congrats on your Engagement :goodvibes . Second, :woohoo: another December bride (hopefully;) )
