How hard is CRT to get lately?

I am quickly approaching the 60 day mark to call for CRT and I am getting nervous. I would really like to take my two princesses-in-training (2 nieces) to the castle for breakfast but I know it can be difficult to get a ps. I think I read on this board that they have extended the hours, is that true or was I imaging things? Can anyone share their recent experiences with getting a ps for this restaurant? Do they charge you a fee up front, per person now to guarantee your reservation? Thanks for any info you guys can provide!

P.S. I've got PSB reserved as an alternative so I won't be too devestated if we don't get CRT. We really enjoyed PSB last year and I know the girls will like it too!

Yes, it is still a tough one to get. PS times are usually gone by 7:10am or sooner.

Do you know there's a new Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian? It's called Cinderella's Gala Feast. Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother and a couple of the mice help Cindy host this buffet dinner. You can call on availability today as it is a 120 day PS event.

Good luck!! Follow the tips in the thread at the top of this forum for the best ways to get Cindy's breakfast.

I'll be the other side of the coin. I have gotten 4 PS's for CRT this week. I even called this morning at 7:30am and the CM read me off about 5-6 times that were available. Not going to say it is easy but definitely better than last year. Now I just have to decide which 3 PS's to give up.

As we have already been to CRT for breakfast - I thought I would skip it this time and go for Crystal Palace early lunch instead (EMH day on 17th July), so this I booked.

However after a bit more thought I changed my mind, thought we would like to do CRT as well and rang up for the following week instead (we are there 14 nights) - rang just before 7am - missed the cue to press 1 for ps bookings and thought I had blown it but after about 2 or 3 minutes on hold, I got right through and got my wish for a late sitting 10.20am on 24/7 (EMH day again). Didn't expect it to be so easy in peak season - so go for it. Maybe other people are thinking the same this year and going for Princess Storybook this year because theyv'e never done it or maybe they think it might be too much of a hassle to get.

I couldn't get CRT for our trip. We just got back, and I tried and tried to get ahold of a cancellation with no success. I started trying 30 days out, then I called every day looking for a last-minute (48 hr.) cancellation. Each time I'd check for every day we had left at Disney. No luck! I told them ANY table size between 2 and 5 every time I called.

Cinderella's Gala Feast, however, was much easier to get. I ended up cancelling, but a CM said there were walk-ups usually always available for that one. My thought is that Cinderella by herself (meaning no other princesses) and not in the castle, is not a big enough draw, especially for $25 per adt. I understand why it costs more (menu), but for that price we'd head to Chef Mickey's. The characters at CRT are better, it costs less, and the atmosphere is better. We were going to do the Gala Feast only if we couldn't get CRT or the Epcot Princess b-fast, but a kind soul gave us their PS for the Epcot Princesses.
