How good was our speculation??? A look back to 2005.

Since it is a slow evening in July it reminded me of the one two years ago that I posted a poll asking DISers to speculate about what DVC resort would be announced in the next 2-3 years. Well it has been 2 years, not the full three, but we will take a peek for kicks anyway. The following link is the poll.... (please don't post to the poll!)

July 2005 DVC Speculation Poll

About half thought CRV could have been announced by now, with DL next with one third. AKL and EP were neck and neck at 17% and 18%.

It is a public poll so if you click on the one of the number results you will be able to see the responses. It's also fun to read through the comments. Many of the same comments about CRV have been made for years ...and years. There were still strong memories of the 'Think BIG' rumor that had been around a couple years before. AKL seem like an emerging rumor at that time.

If no other resort other then AKV is announced in the next year then the following DISers would have been correct in their speculation...

It's amazing to me that in just two years we saw the possibility of AKV go from wild, unsubstantiated rumor to actually being able to book and stay there. That's pretty fast action!

I agree, AKL moved very quickly. Meanwhile CRV has been a constant rumor from before I joined the DISboards.

Yah I've been hooked on these boards since I started my research to purchase a few years back, but haven't been here as long as many. First forum I ever posted on... hence my very obvious user name. Didn't quite realize I should have put in DisneyGrl49 or PigletFan21.
