How good (or bad) is the Princess Storybook B-fast at Epcot? Earliest seating time?

Wondering about your opinion of this character meal.

1. How good is the breakfast, best food selections? Smoked salmon available? Is it buffet, family style, or combo of the two?
2. What is the earliest seating time available?
3. Can you finish before 9 a.m. rope drop, and where do they hold you? Are you at a disadvantageous location compared to those at the turnstiles near SE?
4. If you call at 6:59 a.m. 180 days out, are you likely to get it?

Gee whiz, that was more questions than I planned to ask. Thanks!

My mom and I just booked this the other day for our upcoming trip with my DD5 for the breakfast and it's pretty much basic fare. Eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, ect... If you go to the disney website, they have the menus and everything listed right there.

I'm hoping that it will be fun...:worship:

And from what I understand, you can finish before the park opens, but they won't let you go anywhere other than Norway until it does. Which can stink if you're trying to get to TT or Soarin.

We loved breakfast at Akershus! The atmosphere in the restaurant is castle-like - one princess greets you and poses for a picture (will chat and sign autographs too). The other 4 princesses mingle through the restaurant while you are eating - moving from table to table. They will stop at each table and chat, sign autographs, hug, pose for pictures - they were not in any hurry. The characters can change - no guarantees of who will be there. I think Belle is a common greeter. We also had Ariel, Aurora, Snow White and Mulan.

The food was very good - there was a buffet with pastries, fruit, cheeses and smoked salmon. Then they bring family-style platters of eggs, bacon, sausage and these yummy potatoes to your table. They will bring more of whatever you want.

Our ADR was before Epcot opened - they had our name on a list at the gate and let us right in early. The World Showcase is roped off right after Akershus. We came out of the restaurant and WS was still roped off - so we walked back over to Futureworld. I don't know what happens if you are finished before FW opens at 9am.

Check wdwinfo.com or allears.net for the times of the restaurant.

I don't know if this meal is as hard-to-get as the castle is - I got my ADR by calling at 180 days at 7am no problem

We loved it too. Especially the smoked salmon which I had with cream cheese on some sort of bread roll. The potatoes were my favourite though. I could have eaten so much of them.

We did this on a Friday in February. To answer your questions:

1. The breakfast was part buffett (pastries & fruit...if there was salmon I didn't see it, but would not have been looking either :headache: and part family style (eggs, bacon, sausage & potatoes). Everything was yummy and not at all rushed.

2. We had a 9:00 AM ressie, but checked in at 8:30 and got in about 8:45 and got to meet Belle in her yellow dress first (then Mary Poppins, Ariel in wedding dress, Jasmine & Mulan were inside and came around while we ate). When we got to Epcot & since they weren't opened, there was a line for early ressies and we got in that, gave our name and went in. Norway is the first country in the World area, but plan on a little walking time. With a young one and a dad (my dad) that tends to wander slowly (UGH), it took about 10 minutes to get there and check in.

3. Have no idea about #3. Sorry. We hopped on over to MK for our last day.

4. I would say yes. I did all my ADRS at 180 days and got EVERYTHING I wanted.

Hope you have a great time. We thoroughly enjoyed this breakfast.

I think you will be fine if you call at 7. The only one i think that you need to get in right away is CRT.

We always book the earliest seating time and last year was dissappointed because we were done eating and the princess's still all hadn't come out yet. They are definately not in a hurry, but we were as we wanted to get to Soarin right away and it is a walk. We were not done seeing the Princess's byt he time the park opened. If you are done before park opening you cannt go to any country after Norway, it is blocked off. You are at a bit of a disadvantage.

The food is so so .
