We might eat here in Aug. and opinions on the dinner.
Any responses would be appreciated.

We had a nice meal here. Not a "wower" but very good. The characters (Winnie, Tigger, and Piglet) were super! Spent plenty of time with us.

It was a great place to go to before heading over to MK.

Hi, it was a good meal. Strawberry soup was really good. The characters for dinner were Fairy Godmother in the lobby and Cinderella, Prince Charming and Suzy and Perla (the mice) in the dining room. Have fun!

Don't forget to try the bread pudding with vanilla bean sauce! It's to die for :)

On my last trip in 1999, I asked the waiter for the recipe and he printed it out for me. It has now been a part of every family holiday dinner and I've been told that I'm no longer invited UNLESS I bring the bread pudding and vanilla sauce :D

Sorry...don't mean to dampen any spirits, but I'm not a big fan of dinner here. We've done it twice and to me, it's just okay...maybe a C+.
I will say that the characters are very good...as is the atmosphere...but I was disappointed in the food. To me, the breakfast buffet is much better. Very good food...and same great characters.
But, again, the food, to me, is not really bad...just not really good. And if you really want to try it, don't change because of one person's opinion!

We've done at least 10 different buffets and character meals in WDW over the years and this one is definitely the best. The food was delicious and the choices were many and well done. The strawberry soup was delicious. My mother loved the prime rib. I thought everything was very good and it is on our list of must dos for October. We were there 3 weeks ago and it had the Cindy and the gang there which is the new characters.

bread pudding with vanilla bean sauce !!!!
Sounds good. Do you still have the recipe??
I would love to try it at home. We ate there a few times and enjoyed it.

I have only been twice. Once in 1996 and once in 2001. It is a pretty and fun place but I find the buffet to be just okay. I am not a fan of Prime Rib so I have had the ham which was fine. Many of the other dishes were uninteresting or bland though in 2001 there was a very good enchilada pie (or something like that). I would go back but not expect anything specatacular food wise.

Cut bread into 1" cubes, place into a loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine eggs and sugar. Mix well.
Add softened butter, milk, cream, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.

Chill in an ice bath.
Serve over ice cream, cake, or pudding.

We've eaten here for dinner a couple of times. I give it a solid B+ . It's not the best dinner, but it's definitely the bestfor what it is. It's heads above the other CD's at WDW.

In our experience, 1900 has been consistently the BEST character breakfast OR dinner in The World. Period.

We go every trip, at least once, to each meal, and have never been disappointed.

The room, the characters, and the food are all top notch.

The key lime pie desert is fabulous -- and so is that bread pudding. And I shout out a big "Amen!" to that strawberry soup. They offer it at both breakfast AND dinner (!) and it's great.

At PScalc.com (or whatever that site is) they talk about Cinderella's Gala dinner being introduced at Park Fare last fall. Is this currently every night? Or do the characters rotate? Has it been successful? Is a PS hard to get (we are at our 90 day mark).
Thanks!!

I just got off the phone from making a PS for Cinderella's Gala Feast for August 27th....they don't even need a credit card to hold it....
