From the CA Grill Observation Deck? I was able to get a reservation for 27th and this will likely be our only chance to see fireworks at MK since we are doing parks in AM with no expectation of PM time in parks due to crowds.

They are pretty good! Have you seen them before from inside the park? Now they do a projection show on the castle 15 minutes before the actual fireworks show , so you will definitely not see that from anywhere other than right inside the park and up close.

But yes, we love watching from the observation deck. They pipe in the music as well.

The 15th Floor Observation is restricted to patrons of the California Grill/Bar that evening.
(Fireworks shown above are simulated.)

question...you have the 4th floor noted as teh observation deck but the caption says 15th floor observation is restricted to patrons of CA grille. Does that mean the 4th floor is open to all guests and 15th floor is CA grill patrons only? or is the 4th floor for CA Grill patrons only? We will be CA grill patrons on 12/27 and wish to view that evening.

4th floor- All guests
15th floor- California Grill guests only

It's a good view. But realize it's not as centered an experience as being in the park, they use a lot of forced perspective to make the show look like it does in the parks.

Here's a photo we took from the 14th floor Club Level lounge balcony, which is one floor below the Ca. Grill observation deck (but it gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect).

When we watched Wishes from the Cali Grill Observation deck, the view was very fine, but there was no sound. I don't know if that is normally the case. Sound would have helped understand the show more.

If you've seen the show from the park - it can be sort of neat to watch it from CG observation deck (and the 2 times we went they did pipe in the music). However, it is NOT the same. As PP mentioned, the perspective and all the castle effects are completely lost from that vantage. Holiday Wishes has so so so so many cool Castle effects. Personally, I'd really want to see it from the park (and from facing the castle).

I enjoy seeing Wishes from the observation deck even more than the view from the park! It's a totally different perspective. 2 weeks ago, we ate at the Cali Grill and had a window seat when Wishes went off. They dimmed the lights in the restaurant and piped in the music, that was great!

We have always heard the music when we've viewed from the observation deck.

No crowds to fight makes it just that much better for me! My next ADR at Cali Grill is Jan. 22 with DFs so they can see the fireworks from up there!
